  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello all,

I was searching for something in Google and this forum popped up. It has been a while since I posted and thought I would drop in and say hello. I don't know if any of you remember me or not. Not much has changed with me except I think I have calmed my overenthusiastic tendencies to argue a bit. Lol, anyway, hello and maybe I will look around a bit and see what is going on.

Hey there!

I remember you! I think maybe I’m not so familiar around here either as I’ve been pretty tied up for a few years changing jobs and going back to school.

I don’t have much inclination to argue either (or “teach”), so when I look around at threads I don’t have much to say, though I want to be participating.

We need more plain-old chit-chat or just talking threads. I’m just not sure anyone would be interested in what I’ve been up to. It’s probably only interesting to me, LOL.

Great to see you though!
