I think I should join the Orthodox Church and accept it may be the only true church or it could not be but said out of politics recently to make people believe in the church because if others convert to the Catholic Church while there is politics of them not accepting others they may think others are not saved
But it could be the only true church and I seek to be convinced by joining if God can confirm it is the only true church or if it can convince Catholic is too just to feel the presence of God and maybe I will see proofs otherwise I just have to assume it could be only true church. I could also visit the Catholic Church to be convinced of it
It could be there is salvation outside but we have to assume you need the church and it is for me to know more fully
The true church is not a building full of people or any particular denomination. The true church is all believers in Christ and have received the Holy Spirit.
Christ makes up His own church, who are the saints. God said before man was ever created He Has chosen us from the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame, and has adopted us to be His children, by Jesus Christ, Ephesians 1:4-5 KJV. Salvation is God’s work according to the gospel, which you have a right to read and study just like anyone else.
Salvation is in Christ, not a man, a preacher, a prophet, a bishop, a priest, a teacher, a pastor, a denomination.
When Jesus ascended upon high he gave gifts unto men to to be preachers, teachers, prophets, etc., Ephesians 4:11-13, to edify the church, not of say they are the only way to salvation.
If you believe in Christ, then you have been given gifts for your edification and for other’s edification. If you believe in Christ, then you have the Holy Spirit Who will guide you into all truth, John 16:13 KJV, not man.
Man is suppose to teach, which is called planting the seed of God’s word, but it is God by His Spirit that provides the increase resulting in revelation of the truth to all saints:
1 Corinthians 3:6-8 KJV
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
We are to open our ears to God’s word, and pray for the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Not man. The Holy Spirit will guide you to a place of worship. But will not guide you to a place that claim salvation is in them only.
We are commanded to not be carried away with every wind of doctrine, 1 Corinthians 4:14 KJV.
