we all know where you stand sister! So even if you never change your icon, we all know who you are! (and I think most everyone else on the board knows where you stand also......you are a such a wonderful defender of the Doctrines of Grace......)

One of my good friends from church, while acknowledging that our doctrines are Calvinist/Reformed, says he really dislikes using "the C word." He always makes some sort of qualification whenever he says "Calvinist."

I have never heard of a religious group called (whether in mockery or idolizing their leader) the Athanasians. it's the name of an ancient creed, so called because it embodied the teachings of St. Athanasius about the Trinity. would you prefer that his username was 'quicunque vult'?

Yet my faith icon is and shall always be "Christian" - or better yet, BORN-AGAIN BY THE SPIRIT Christian!

My 'nick' is in reference to the Creed itself and what it stands for - the absolute Deity of Jesus the Christ and the triunity of the God Being, NOT after Athanasius (though he was a champion of the faith AND a believer in sola Scriptura)

I try to avoid the "C" word because I get a negative reaction from a lot of people. I do say I believe in the Doctrines of Grace, though, and when people scratch their heads, , I get to explain.
