IMO thehistorical distinctions between Lutherans, Calvinists, Baptists are minor these days. Any one of these who is a solid believer in Biblical inerrancy is far closer than to one who takes a "liberal" approach to Biblical inspiration. For example, I am in the Presbyterean Church in America (PCA) which, like the OPC is a very conservative denomination. I have far more in common with a conservative Lutheran, or even a typical Southern Baptist, than with the Presbyterean-USA Church, which does not affirm the ancient creeds, nor Biblical inerrancy.
I don't say that there are no denominational distinctives among conservatives. In fact it is conservatives that take these denominational distinctives very seriously, because they take the Bible seriously. What I mean is that Biblical inerrancy is the BIG issue today. Of what use is a discussion of TULIP with someone unwilling to affirm that Christ is Eternal, and physically rose from death?
My allegiance is to my Bible. In so far as I can understand it, the conservative presby-PCA does a decent job of upholding it's central Truth. But I respect and can commune with a Southern Baptist or Lutheran who also upholds the central doctrines of the Faith. I can not commune in the presby-USA church where I know the pastor's health insurance that I would help pay for will allow her to have an abortion.
