Yep :D

My question....do you like to bake real pies?

coconut cream, please, and a large cup of coffee!!!
* Tattered cuts mamabear a huge (dont worry it's calorie free, remember) slice of coconute cream pie and fills her coffee cup with aromatic coffee.

You want cream or sugar? ... oops, I don't get to ask questions ... um ... here's some real live calorie free whole cream and sugar for your coffee if you please ...

And your question ... yes, or at least I used to. From the time I was a teenager until a few years ago I was the Pie Queen. I loved making crust and looked down my nose at any one who bought store pie crusts ... anyway, everyone who knew me and invited me to a pot luck or over to their house for dinner new that I'd probably provide pie ... usually fruit pies.

Then around the time I had kids I got busy with them and quit making my own crusts ... and after that I started making pies less and less ... and now I hardly make them at all  .... hmmmm  ..... I'd say it's time to dig out my old rolling pin and get busy now that the kids are teenagers and don't need/want so much of my attention ;)

So what is your favorite book(s) in the Bible and why?
* Tattered hands maggie a slice of pumpkin pie with a generous dollop of whipped cream on top. She then points to 3 pots labeled "Coffee", "Tea", "Hot Cocoa" and says ...

Help yourself, they're bottomless and all premium quality fattening free and nutritious. :yum:

I'm glad you said book(s) ;) ... Psalms, because it's poetry, prayer and song ... Song of Solomon because its a parallel between the love between a man and a woman and the love between God and the Church ... Judges through Kings because of all the action packed stories ... The gospel of John because its more ... um ... abstract than the other Gospels ... Galatians and James because they are bookends of each other and Phillipians because it turns Christianity on it's head. :D

Hey Tat  glad you joined the FTB.

If today was you last day on earth, what would you do?

* MMXII likes apple and some Coke please.
* Tattered dishes out a slice of apple pie and offers some whipped cream ... she poors a big glass of Coke and passes them all to Ms. 2012

... my last day on earth ... funny you should ask ... this is something I've had the opportunity to think about at some length.

I would spend the day with my Hubby and Children. We would probably go to the moutains and remember all the good times we spent together up there. We'd talk about heaven and how glorious it would be. I'd remind them again about the dream I had, the one where my Oncologist says I'm not going to survive and instead of being miserable I'm happy .... joyful even, because I'm going to be in the presence of the one who loves me most ... and it's WONDERFUL! ... I told this to my kids a while back, and since then they've never worried about me dying....

oh ... and I'd try and get in touch with my online friends and tell them that unless heaven has online access I won't be posting anymore ^_^

Tat, sounds like you are ready to go home whenever He calls. It's a wonderful feeling isn't it??
It's awesome! ... but don't expect me to go anytime soon. I plan to live my full life here on earth to my 90's at least ... or until 2012, who knows ;)

/me puts a plate of fudge and a bowl of chips on the table in case dyan wants to nibble ;)

... hurt my feelings and make me cry  ... hmmmm ... I'm not really much of a cryer and more likely to blow up in anger in frustration than burst into tears over hurt feelings ...

When I was a teenager I was very sensitive and you only had to look at me to get me to cry. Somewhere along the way I toughened up and learned to laugh it off. Now I tend to turn anything that would hurt most people into a joke and laugh about it. If I get angry I try to tackle the issue instead of the person on an intellectual level ... or I just go hide in my bed with my covers over my head until I've calmed down ... hubby is most grateful for that ^_^

... anyway, to answer you question, the closest thing anyone can do to me to hurt my feelings is tell me I'm just like my mom ... whom I love to bits ... but ... well ... you know how it is .... she's so ... so ... so ... MOM!

Hi Tattered I think I'll have some pecan with coffee please.

So how long have you been married, and how did you and your husband meet?
Hi, worldwatcher!

* Tattered dishes out a slice of gooey succulent pecan pie for ww and pours her some coffee ...

Help yourself to cream and sugar if you wish. :)

I'm married to a dear Godly man. He's the love of my life and even tho he has trouble articulating it sometimes, he loves me too. I know this because his love language is service. He works very hard and does things around the house without me having to ask and when I DO ask for something to be done he does it ... with only a little bit of grumbling.:D

We met at a church camp ... and it's by the Grace of God that we ever got together. He was working there the whole summer and I came up to help for a couple weeks. The first person I met was him and he smiled at me and I went .... *erk!* ... he said later that he thought I was cute, but stuck up. I let him think that for the longest time because it was humiliating to admit that I thought he was gorgeous and I was struck dumb in his presence :o .... the reason I say it was by the Grace of God that we got together, because some how I loosened up enough to talk him into visiting me sometime ... and he took me to dinner and a movie and we went to church together ... yada yada yada ... and three years later we were married. And 19 years and 2 kids later we still like each other ;)

Thats a great story! thanks for sharing.

How old are your children?
You ready for more coffee? ... more pie? ... um well ... yeah, my kids, what mother can resist the opportunity to talk about her kids ...

I have a daughter who is 17, a Senior in High School. She's an artist who mostly draws anime. I think she's pretty good, but that's just her mama talkin ;)

I also have a 14 year old son. He's a big boy, 6'2" and about 260 lbs. He's built like a buffalo. The kids at his school are in awe of him because he walks around with this cool calm confidence that he inherited from his father. He likes war games and thinks he wants to be a Marine when he's 18 ... all I can say is I hope the Marines have uniforms his size :D

Please describe in 5 words or more, your relationship with your Mother.
My mother and I get along very well. (that's 8 words) ;)

Okay, okay, I can do better than that. Mom and I are friends. Just like any friend, she can make me crazy and I make her crazy too. On the otherhand, if I needed someone ... if I needed help in anyway ... I know I could count on her ... and I believe she feels the same way. We live very close ... too close if you ask my hubby ^_^ ... she and my dad share an inlaw apartment in our basement. It's charming and cosy and they seem very happy ... oh, it's a walk-out. They have their own entrance etc. It's very convenient. It's nice because if I want to talk to her I can just pop downstairs for a chat. She seems to like that I do that.

... you look like you could use some more pie ... here, try a slice of key lime ... I can't believe no one asked for key lime pie ... :D

What Do You Believe Is True Even Though You Cannot Prove It?
What do you mean by 'Prove It'?

oops, there I go asking questions again ... sorry ... ;)

hmmm ... okay, something that cannot be proven logically, mathmatically or tactilly ... well obviously God can't be. At least not within our little shadowland we call reality. I don't even try. I believe in God because He is to much for our shallow little proofs. And of course Jesus, the Son of God who is one with the Father along with the Holy Spirit. Three in one. The Trinity can't be proven by any earthly means, nor the Virgin Birth, nor Jesus' resurrection. Some even claim there's no proof Jesus even existed ... whatever, I know He did ... and does. What else, oh, creation ... yeah ... I know God created the Heavens and the Earth and all it contains. Um-hm ... I believe the Bible is the Living Word of God ... don't ask me to prove it. The return of Jesus, I believe that's about to happen any time, tho any time is ambiguous. I'm ready whenever He is. <--- rapture drills :D

Oh, there's more, but I'm tired, and I've worked my tushie off today ...
