It is only over the last few years that God has given me friends for more than a short period of time. I feel your pain. I, too, don't fit in with others, esp. those my age. I get along with people older than me (say 5+ years older), even hubby is 10 years older than me. Try praying for a friend and asking God where to look (in what group). Maybe it will help?

First, I believe you have more friends than that.

How about God the Father, Mary, the Saints... your family at home?

Regardless of how many, I think that "quality" should be your focus as opposed to "quantity".

I don't know you, so I cannot say if you need to change or not. But Jesus knows you and He can. Trust in Him, abide in Him and follow Him.

You do not want to change into what "this world wants you to be" - that is for sure. "For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal"(sorry can't remember the verse).

Maybe you are being to hard on yourself and you have more friends than you think.

You need to be you and be proud of who you are. You are a child of God and He loves you, He thinks you are beautiful - inside and out and He wants you to realize that.

Do His work and stop worrying if people like you or not. Chances are, if you do His work there will be many that will not approve - but don't focus on that, focus on Jesus and His love.

WOW, I never even thought of it in this light...I never thought about how not only do I have Jesus, His messenger to keep me company and my best friend here...BUT I have mary and the saints too! Gosh, thank you so much for bringing that to my attention!!!!! Also, what you said is very wise and I will have to repeat it OVER AND OVER to get the message sunk into my insecure mind! THANK YOU!

I been on rollercoaster ride myself about friends, loneliness, and fullfilment. I am the one who has problems to solve. Just to shorten it up say this, if you have behaviors that make you feel like a slave to them you most likely are. Be honous with yourself, Research them with tools such as coping.org and other resources find thru google. Most importantly pray and keep faith that our Great Father help you find answers you seek.

Bible speaks truths and wisdom about human nature, but sometimes, atleast for me, need to hear it from others and current research to varify and better understand the problems.

Other than that, donate time to your church or a local cause to meet more people. Also build hobbies that are offline and find other entheusists to make some friends.

when I became a christian I had the wrong friends. i wish i had none at all at that time. they got me into alot of trouble just from being in my life. so maybe your situation is to keep you from making mistakes i made. but now that since i had put those friends behind me my wife and i both didnt have any christian friends. when started going to a differnt church last december we have become awsome friends witht he pastor and his wife(what better christian friend?) and we have befriended a bunch more christian friends also. i remember feeling like you. but remember just because it seems bad or it hurts doesnt mean God isnt doing it for a good reason. "trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding". look at joseph in the old testament. betrayed by his own family sold as a slave and thrown in prison. how discouraged do you think he was. but he trusted God and look how he turned out. the family that sold him ended up bowing down to him!! your life might be at a seemingly bad phase, but its heading towards something better than you can imagine...

thanks.... i lost all my friends because i didnt want to party either. it seemed like all i did was sit at home alone. but christ said the world would hate us. look at those in the middle ages who burned and worse (google judas chair, and youll know) for their believes. i postive most didnt have friends plus people were trying to kill them. is anyone trying to burn you? i guess thats another blessing.

Hey your not alone i only have one really close friend and thats not always a bad thing. Im a shy person i dont normally start a conversation i wait for the conversation to come to me but im still young yet you seem young also so life is still coming at us i plan to join the army in a year or 2 when i get in shape so i know ill meet new people there and im sure boot camp will pretty much take my shyness away lol you gotta think of the positives look foward to the future. I understand how you feel i droped out of high school i was so nervous all of the time i couldnt learn anything and i regret it things will get better just think positive God Bless
