yes, for real!... my grandmother also raised a few cows and she would slaughter them and give us stuff from them, probably about 1/4 side of beef.

Cow tongue - I have. My grandfather talked me into trying it when I was 3 or 4..... It didn't taste that terrible, but my cousins teased me so much that I wouldn't take a second bite!
