I have sinned god and am scared.For about a year now i have been cursing like mad and i have REALLY tried 2 stop but i cant wat should i do ?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Don't worry about it. Repent and ask for forgiveness and decide to turn away from the sin.
Remember, "Let no foul or polluting language, nor evil word, nor unwholesome or worthless talk (ever) come out of your mouth; but only such speech as is good and beneficial to the spiritual progress of others, as is fitting to the need and the occasion, that it may be a blessing and give grace (Gods favor) to those who hear it" So whenever you are tempted to use those words, refuse to and just speak good words, like praising the Lord! You are in my prayers

God forgives, if you're truly sorry He will forgive you in a heartbeat.
Remember, when ever you curse say immediately after "I'm sorry God" or maybe say an Our Father.
You might think of talking this over with someone IRL, someone you love and whose advice you trust.
Above all, remember that God is merciful, He will always forgive the repentant sinner.
"Come now, let us set things right, says the LORD: Though your sins be like scarlet, they may become white as snow; Though they be crimson red, they may become white as wool." (Isaiah 1:18)

God forgives. Even if you cannot fully quit, you can be judged on your effort. Jesus is there to help cleanse you of what you cannot do yourself.
Perhaps finding a penence would help. The good old-fashioned swear jar comes to mind. Donate the jar's money to a charity. You could do some task needed in your home or community for ever swear. Whatever you choose make sure you stick with it.
Remember too, being mindful of your words does not just mean 'not swearing'. Harsh words, gossip, insults, lies, etc. imho are worse than any four letter word.
