CBN, shocked.

For 2025 CBN I donated each month amounts totaling to almost $7000. And I am not rich but the amount that they told me that I donated was $650 plus $720.

I have spent hours trying to explain to them, and have them explain to me, what the problem was. All of my donations went through PAYPAL. They were all under the same name. PAYPAL has told me that there is no problem with my bank account or with their account, but that the problem was with CBN.

They gave me a number for CBN to call them to get things straightened out. But whenever I would give it to CBN, they just ignored me. And they would send me more statements, saying exactly what they had already erroneously sent me before.

Just in general, I got a huge runaround, with people telling me to do this, and do that with none of it having any good effect. And again, the problem was not even with me, it was with CBN.

I have really been shocked at how many people I had to speak to at different levels, and absolutely none of them gave me any help whatsoever.

I will be putting in a dispute charge with PAYPAL, as PP suggested that I do, tomorrow.

In the meantime, please pray that I get full credit for all the deductions I gave as it is relevant to my IRS report , which has to be amended.

I am also strongly considering getting in contact with IRS in regards to a fraud report against CBN.

Please help this situation to untangle itself and be resolved, that LoricaLady would get the right person on the phone or otherwise contacted who has the authority to deal with this problem.

Well, for anyone still interested here is the latest. I tried to file a dispute with paypal. They said they can't help me at all.Because they are not permitted by their rules to contact the other party, in this case, CBN.

I thought they should be concerned for themselves because thousands of dollars were given to paypal and CBN says they can't find it.

But paypal didn't seem to be a bit concerned about that

Paypal may well be the ones to blame, they've been a major headache for me in recent years. Frankly I avoid them like the plague at this point.

A piece of advice for future giving:
Never give money to big name Christian organizations. You're just another number and they only want you to give more. Give locally to people who really need it.

I didn’t lose any money. I just wasn’t given credit, for tax refund purposes, for thousands of dollars of what I gave.

I had felt led years ago to give to Compassion International. My half sister saw them at work in a trip overseas and said they were wonderful so all future donations will go to them.

As for local giving, I have no way to authenticate what they do.

I was already wondering about CBN after I found out they are connected to the UN. The UN is actually pretty anti American in my opinion. And they are vehemently anti Israel. I am not a fan of Israel but….Christ will be coming back there.

That’s interesting. But CBN was awful with people through various departments. There were sweet syrupy voices but they wouldn’t call the number PP gave me to give to them so CBN would know what I gave. How does an organization lose track of thousands of dollars of donations? And be so unconcerned about that?

My only hope is that IRS will deal with CBN “losing” (?) funds given to them. I will be contacting IRS and ask for prayers for help through them.
