• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Its great that you are talking and that some people are responding positively, not judgmentally. Nothing in your past has given you any hope that someone will think you important enough to really listen and really care. The insult and hurt at being offered a nickel. In fact Jesus offered His life for you because he cared for people like you.

You are the teenager. Right?

My dear sister, God does not only listen to the holy.... Jesus said that he came for those in need, those lost in sin, hurt and pain.... and He listens to us all. Whatever you do, whatever is done to you, your value in His eyes is infinite, and He is listening, and weeping with you.
Please don't ever feel that you can't come.. He is calling you, because He loves you and longs to lift you out of the pit where you are trapped.
Praying for you, sister.

Hi,

I understand why they want to speak and express their anger. I don't mind if they PM me and say what they want. Some things aren't suitable for the public forum. Nobody ever did that before, but I am willing to hear them now. They need to tell someone about their pain. It's wonderful you are communicating with us. That can help all of you.

Are you the one who took responsibility, stayed at school and worked hard? Whoever did that did very well.

Thank you so much for trying to keep communication open. You all need our love and support.

They are not to speak on these boards. I'm sorry. This one gets us thrown off the boards for fighting. I will talk to her. Please talk to me and I will let her know. Thanks. And yes. She was not important. It is still hard to understand being anybody even when people repeat it over and over to us.

Continuing to remember you in my prayers, Lifewanderer.

Kyrie, eleison,
Christe, eleison,
Kyrie, eleison.

That's a good question.

Each one will have their own anger - at people, and at God.

Allison is angry that no one cared, people treated her as trash, she resented people who had nice homes to go to. She will need to discover God's solution to that legitimate anger if she is to become free of a destructive emotion. And all her tenderness and vitality could never flourish properly.

She may well be angry at God too - where were you, why didn't you stop it, what sort of love is that allowing me to go through what we had to just to survive.

Of course, all the others will have similar questions.

Hope this answers your questions.
