Interesting that a member named satan would care.

Actually, I think everyone on the planet should see medal of honor.
It's something we should never forget.
You didn't mention GTA or any of the other games that catch flack due to their content.

There's so much hypocrite fodder to bait Christians with I can't figure out why you chose video games. Video games are cool.
It's kind of a let down. I was expecting to get all worked up but your post just confuses me.
Now get out there and bait us with something that will really upset us. Cause this just isn't working.

How can people who follow Christianity and God play games that promote such violence? Games such as Halo, Total Annihilation, Starcraft, BattleField 1942, Star Wars: Jedi Knight, Medal of Honour and countless others.

Isn't this a tad hypocritical?
You may or may not ever see this, but I'll try and explain it to you: God does not deter you from entertainment. Violence is unchristian. But depictions of violence are not. If just showing violence was unchristian then pictures of christ on the cross would be unchristian. Actions matter, representations do not. Games do not promote violence (though unbalanced, violent people may seek out and play violent games).

As has been stated already, people aren't violent because of the games.

It's comparable to guns.
Guns aren't alive, therefore, they can't pull their own trigger.
People make their own mistakes.
It's the thoughts people harbor that grow and cause them to do wrong.

I think Alice is for people on acid. lol.

I'm still trying to figure out how war reenactments are so anti-christian, when God Himself used wars to accomplish certain objectives.

Hmmm. Oh well..
drfeelgood I don't know what you mean by saying that God Himself used wars to accomplish certain objectives... this is not true, what you think about violent games is up to you but don't involve God in things he hasn't done... Wars don't happen because God wants to accomplish objectives... but the human not god, so I don't know what you mean... maybe a missunderstanding? maybe not.

''Some experts believe that violent games are a means of interaction between children. It can be a release of violence and aggression which they may have within them. While many believe these games make children oriented towards violence. Some also believe these games make kids uncompassionate and insensitive towards death. Violent games are generally action packed & Manufacturers of such games insist that their games Improve coordination, reflexes, and skills ! A point which educational games manufacturers disagree with. Violent games can hold children ( & even adults !) spellbound in amazement. This can lead to them sitting on the computer for hours and hours sometimes leading to neck problems and eye damage.''
