i cutt

i cutt and have depression but i posted a thread before i saw this forum. its in prayer requests if anyone cares to look.

I understand what it is you feel, as I too have done the same thing. And God is there with you, as well as everyone here. We love you and God loves you, even when it feels like you are alone you have someone that is willing to lend an ear, share your heart, and heal the hurts that are holding you there. I know that when you do cut yourself it's to let the hurt out, it feels good to do so. But the way i overcame is to put on music, my favourite songs, and just cry out to God. His power and healing is with me the strongest at those times, and usually ends up with me on my floor face down sobbing my guts out. I get all of the muck out and God is there to help me up and fix the wounds that are left inside.

Most importantly remember we love you and God loves you, you are his daughter, and he wants to hold you close as often as you will let him.

I am so sorry you are hurting enough to want to cut yourself. Please bring this hurt to God. He wants to comfort you dear child! Have you thought about going for counseling to your school social worker/psychologist. They would be happy to help you I'm sure hon.

Broken - I know how you feel, well at least about the cutting being a way to cope. Depression is real and is not something to be taken lightly. I have suffered with it for years (and cutting as well). Take it from someone who really knows - cutting is not the answer. It might feel right and good at the time, but it is not the way out of depression or a good escape for your feelings. Although I am not 14, I know how it feels to be 14 and confused and afraid and alone. I hope you will find the courage to get help for yourself. Please know that you will be in my prayers today. broken you are very brave to share with us what you are going through. I pray that you won't feel so alone with this struggle and you will share more as you feel more comfortable. I was a cutter for 8 years and I know how hard the struggle is not only to survive with that kind of depression but also with the stuggle to quit. We are all here for you!

Broken it was very brave to share with us and I am sure for at least a moment or so sharing made you feel better. Please talk to someone, counselor at school, a church, a friends Mom anyone who can help guide you. Keep sharing with us and maybe it will get easier to share IL.
