  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi, just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is David, I'm married and have 4 wonderfull, healthy kids. I have stood against god and religion for the almost all of my 27 years on this planet, but the past few months I have started to have second thoughts on my anti-god stance. It's hard to explain really, its just that now I feel something, something wonderfull and loving in my heart. So here I am, ready to explore the new feelings inside my heart and hopefully learn more about myself in the process.

on today's Christmas sermon, my pastor relaid a play from another church. Jesus first received gifts from the three wise men, then more and more people came up to give him gifts. Time past, and they started exchanging gifts themselves, to the point that they then started to throw presents at each other.

One present knocked Jesus on the head and he fell onto the ground, only to be buried in presents.

The title of the play was, "The forgotten gift", the forgotten gift of God's to the world. The narrator then picked up a present randomly and opened it, to find that there was nothing inside. Christmas without Jesus.... is like an empty box.
