To address some of the notions set forth in general within this thread:

The body of Christ is made up of humans who have all fallen short of the glory of God by sinning 1 time in the past. That's really all it takes to fall short of "the glory".
A continuation of sin is not necessary as to qualify for having fallen short.

We all sinned in the past, but sin doesn't have to be in anyone's lives unless they want it there.

The problem many professing Christians have is that they say "im not perfect" becuase I sin... Which is true, but they dont call their sins, transgressions, or criminal activity.

That's what sin is in essence, transgression of the law. "I'm a criminal because of my choices" is what the sinner should admit to, not "I was born imperfect, cant help myself".
All the while, the sinner engages in adultery, thievery, lying, sodomy, and the like.

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. (I Corinthians 6:9, 10 NKJV)

Regarding the OP:
Unfortunate, but stay in Christ, endure to the end, walking in the spirit, not the flesh.

Hi jesse,

Please don't let an incident like that put you off from following the faith. Keep in mind that although we are called to edify one another as christians it is the Lord Jesus Christ who we are to obey and follow.

Like in all walks of life you will find some you get on with more then others. Ignore the rude and dont let anyone push you away from the Lord. We all can learn from eachother and we are to take Jesus's advice on how to deal with certain situations. Jesus stood firmly against the pharisees and scribes and would not let them intimidate him. Use the gift of the Holy Spirit to help you stand strong.

Prayer to God and tell him your feelings is just as important. The Lord wants to hear from you.

Hope this helps

God Bless

If people are judging others they are disobedient to Scriptures. If someone says he or she is a Christian and even gets on a Christian forum, and even really, truly believes he or she is a follower of Messiah....maybe, maybe not. Ditto many, many in Churches. For the most part I did not see that people in Churches were much, if at all, different from the people outside the Churches. They were often very worldly, and certainly not always keeping the Commandments.

Ditto Christian forums. They may think they are Christians, but maybe and maybe not. Messiah said that at the Judgment many would call to Him saying, "Lord, Lord..." so they thought they were His followers, they even thought they had done great works for Him. But He will say to them, "Be gone from Me you workers of lawlessness."

On the other hand there are people who are sincere. Then there are baby Christians who haven't really matured in their faith. It's a mixed bag. I hope you will stay and just skip over posts that are offensive. If you are praying for others here, well then, you are being a blessing to the forum.

My prayer for you is that you will take the best and leave the rest.

I'm new here, so, thankfully I have not noticed that kind of spirit.

The following was posted by a Facebook friend, and I passed it on:
“Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults—unless, of course, you want the same treatment. Don’t condemn those who are down; that hardness can boomerang. Be easy on people; you’ll find life a lot easier. ” (Luke 6:37 MSG)

Well, I just got here, like I said, so I kinda hope you won't leave. If you do, you could always friend me on Facebook. :)

kinda ironic, I give testimony about misguided christians and part of my own personal testimony, and I have someone PMing to grill me on it. Just sad.

Glad your doing better Jesse. Like I said, don't let fools drag you down. As you can see, lot people on here that care about you and can be there for you.

Looks like people have said alot of what I would have. This forum is full of every variation/denomination of christianity so bickering and different views is common. For those that purposely read my threads to complain about my view I simply put them on ignore so I can't see what they post. Or you can always use the report button and turn them in for attacking you.

Now ignoring the church or christians in general won't solve the problem. Nor will it help you grow in Christ. Even if you talk to those who have the same denomination you will still likely find some that disagree with you. Thats just how it is because we are flawed humans.

So stay and don't worry about what others think of you or your views. Their opinion doesn't affect you. THey are free to think what they want just as you are. :)

I am so sorry to hear how you have been hurt by other Christians and specifically people on this forum. Christians hurting, judging, rejecting, betraying and disrespecting one another is all too common and not at all God's will for His body.

Just today I heard about a book by Ann Graham Lotz called Wounded by God's People: Discovering How God's Love Heals Our Hearts. I didn't read it yet, but heard a little bit about her story of being deeply hurt by Christians in her own church and how she found healing through God's love. It might be worth looking into and probably good for all Christians.

I always liked this quote: “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.” (It's attributed to Plato, but I read it's original source is Rev. John Watson). I wish people would practice kindness and think before they speak. Words have the power to discourage, shame, harm, and hurt as well as build up, strengthen, empower, inspire, and motivate. We can use our words to bring out the best in others. Words hurt and words heal. I pray that you will find healing in God's love!

Sure

I just don't know how to relate to people. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it here. I enjoy discussing spiritual things. But I just don't know why people have to be insulting just because they don't agree with me. I can handle it when people respectfully disagree, but I can not handle insults, especially by the body of Christ. It's one thing if they weren't Christians, for I know we will deal with opposition. But it's another thing to deal with it in the household of faith.

I don't go to church only because I am in a situation where I can't go. But I will be out of that situation soon, and now I don't want to go. I was so looking forward to going to church. I fantasized that I was going to be part of a family that will help me grow spiritually and that I can help others as well. But it was just fantasy. I can't leave God, but I don't want to be part of His church; too many nasty people.

I know obedience to God's laws are importance. But I am struggling in certaian areas in my life that I have shared, and I have gotten condemned. I thought we were suppose to bear one anothers infirmities. But maybe I got the verse wrong; maybe it's talking about physical sickness. All I know is that people who have it all: obedience. righteousness, holiness, and perfection can be very condemning when they preach to me. I know I don't possess these qualities yet, but I want to. It is doubtful that I will ever be perfect in obedience to God.

I am feeling very bitter towards Christians. And that is why I am leaving the forums.

There were times ive wanted to leave as well. Infact shortly after i joined last yr (cause i believe God led me here not for me but mainly for others) some people on here attacked me for no reason.

But you have to understand what is working in those people against you to make them act like they do. The Lord being faithful showed me that if im (or any of His children) doing something for Him, even if we face 'persecution' or insults for it, we should count is as joy. Why?

Cause its not so much about us/or for us, its about HIM. That is how I live my life and I can say its not just people on this forum, there are many people out there who will try to tick you off.

One time when i did come to this forum for a while, the Lord brought it to my attention and I said i just felt like I shouldnt be going there, and The Lord placed it in my heart that when He puts it in me to go there its because He wants me to, for those that truly need Him, not because of anything else.

I have seen many good people who have left i remember 'eyesee', 'bfine' and a few other people, they were people i respected much.

The thing is when we are following Christ in truth, we should not expect everyone to accept what we say or how we say it. We should learn from Jesus Christ. He being God even had people who objected strongly to His teaching and those that saw the miracles He did were the same people who killed Him.

If they could do that to The King of Glory, who are we? Why should we think people won't try to crucify us as well. Strength comes from The Lord and no one else. I always thank God for the strength He has instilled in me in my mother's womb.

You don;t need to back out completely from the work of Christ cause some people are being mean (no one is perfect in all honesty, we all have our faults) you just have to learn to deal with these things and Holy Spirit always helps. He does not call and not equip.

its not so much persuading you to stay but this will help you in life. Cause this isnt about this forum. Its everywhere you go. You have to build your strength and faith in God that what you do you do unto Him and it does NOT matter what man says or thinks as long as you are doing what you are doing for God, through and by God.

There is time for everything and seasons as well. many come and go. No one will surely remain in here forever. My time on here has been good for what i come on here for is for Jesu, i dont so much look to people or try to get approval. I come in and go out once i do what i need to do.

If the Lord brings something to my attention, id speak it out. You just gotta learn to ignore some things or people in life. Ignoring is not that you dont like them, but to make room for peace.

God bless
