Religion fills a hole that those who look for it. Atheiest also have a hole to fill but their pallet thirsts for something different. There is no right or wrong way to live your life as long as you are comfortable with the dirrection you are travelling.

Atheism does not speak to how to live your life, it is only a theological position on deities.

I am sorry you feel that I was trying to start an argument. It was just a question. I hate arguments and debates because I always get hurt.

I learned something here. That I need to be more open-minded. But I also realize that no matter how noble my intentions are, there is always a critic: someone who thinks they know my intentions.

I have had people say I don't mean to be rude, and yet they are not rude at all. They are just asking questions. Basically they are just trying to understand.

I didn't criticize atheists or agnostics for being on here. I never thought that they shouldn't be on here. I was just shocked. Quite frankly, this is a good site that allows people of different faiths. All I was doing was trying to understand.

I can only speak for myself.

I find intellectual discussion much more invigorating, when you engage with people who have differing views then yourself. It gets a bit boring, talking to folks who only agree with you.

Also, I really could care less what someone believes or doesn't believe, but I find it fascinating, from a psychological standpoint, to see how people, justify their personal beliefs.

I don't know about you. But I have no interest at all to go to an atheist forum. Because I know everything they know about God, no God or may be God.

I think they are here because they are thirsty about Christianity. Hard core atheists will not be here.

I personally can't say I'm "thirsty" about Christianity, I've been to church many times and I've even done the Alpha course, but I just don't believe therefore I label myself atheist.

I'm not certain what constitutes a "hardcore" atheist, either you believe in the God of the bible, Jesus, the resurrection etc. (or one of the other available religions) or you don't, put very simply - I don't.

But I do enjoy hearing about other peoples views and having an open discussion, I respect the right of anyone to believe in anything they want, provided they don't try to shove it down my throat. I'm also interested in how religion affects politics in the US, here in the UK it doesn't affect politics at all, but the US seems different, and I find that interesting.

If you are still "not rejecting" to listen to Christianity, then you are not totally leaving God. Then you may have chance to become a faithful Christian again. There are atheists who do not have interest in talking or listening to Christian. They left God and go their own ways. They are not bothered to listen to anything about Christianity.

Christian Forum is like a festival. Christians are in there to talk and to learn. You call yourself not a Christian, but you come to the festival to see things. That means you are still interested. In Christian's term, you are still "searching". People who are not interested in this festival do not come and seeing around.
