A Recovering Fundamentalist
Actually it means a rejection of all moral and religious principles; liberal or conservative, Christian or Atheist. That's the "webster definition". True blue Nihilism is "Life doesn't matter and what we do in life doesn't matter". The second word, "Journey", as our poster confirmed for us, indicates that he has gone through moments of those sort of conflicts with the meaning of life and his purpose in it. It's an honest, heart-bearing and open screenname.
If I were in a more troll-ish mood, I might point out that one perspective is to focus on the first word and the former life; and disqualify and discount any thoughts he might have after that; while another perspective in this thread is to focus on today, the journey right now, and spend less time where he once was. But, I won't do that
Either way, why are we speculating? The OP very clearly laid out the meaning of his screenname and what it means to him in post 13. So that's the end of the discussion, really. What nihilism, and what it means to the OP, and what "journey" is and what it means to the OP, are quite clearly laid out.
