I am surprised there are so many hunters and girls to, as well not to many anti hunters, but that's another story.
I live in Canada so hunting and fishing is a birth rite almost. I think if you put a piece of beef, deer, moose and elk and tasted them you would find several differences. All wild game is stronger, just as grain and natural beef is. Deer is a little wild in taste, but not like lamb, its finer and very little fat, elk and moose are much the same but a bit sweeter in taste, both are better then deer, It will depend on there feed to, in areas of evergreens they have a different taste,
it's all good just might need a little getting use to it, those who can't tell great some people have the opposite taste.
Now for anti's go to a slaughter house and then call hunting inhumane, chickens breed in a cage they can't even turn in, cattle smelling the death and there nervous scared eye's popping out from the smell and vision of the slaughter. Go tell me it's humane, I think if we think about it god never meant for this cruelty, but fishing and hunting have been around since the history of man.
And 1 shot 1 kill is a hunters creed, it is not a perfect world wounded animals happen but most good hunters will finish the kill as quick as possible.
Well we could talk CWd and other but I don't think anyone should be anti if they eat any fish or meat.
good eating

Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone else here hunts.I have hunted since I was about 10
and I love it. the excitment of the hunt is awesome.I hunt deer. rabbit, upland birsd (partridge and grouse), Waterfowl, (Geese and Ducks) and i have also shot at wolves..I have sheep so they are not very welcome around our farm. I know alot of People dont like hunting, But i think it is an awesome way to see God's creation..while deer hunting I see so many amazing things take place. And hunting also saves my family alot of money. because we dont have to buy any beef. So if anyone else hunts leave a message!
Peace,
Jon
I've hunted all my life. I'm part Ojibwe, so it is also a cultural thing with us. Part of my job is to hunt animals injured by vehicles. This is often done at night by flashlight. We eat a lot of game as well as harvest wild rice, net fish, and make sugar.

We have a huge deer population. We also have moose, wolves, bear, cougars and lynx. The wolves are way up from a few years ago, but it doesn't seem to bother the deer herd. The DNR says the deer is at the highest population ever. They eat the bark off the apple trees in our front yard.

Heh, if you cook it properly you should'nt need to get your stomach pumped. :p

We've been ground-hog hunting here. Now that Spring has sprung (hee!) there are tons of them! It's kinda fun to stand on your pack porch and just pick 'em off~:p

you know what Jenka? :) you're scary but cute. I will remember that when I at some point in my life run out of e-coli filled beef, flu raveged chicken, chronically wasted deer flesh, and toxin filled fish. where on earth did I put my planters peanuts anyways?
