You've got that right. I feel sorry for LGBT people and the shabby treatment they are sure to get from a Trump administration, but it's a dumb hill for Democrats to pick to die on. They've been having trouble with these culture war issues all along. They have been entirely blind about how some people take these issues. Even Christians on the "left" have no real idea how important gender conformity is to some people and how closely it is tied to their faith..

SPLC the group that labels people they don't like to tar them publicly. Who audits the auditors? Especially when they have to retract several claims and issue apologies. Practice your right as a consumer and don't purchase any product from that company. It worked wonders for Bud Light that until today the beer never recovered in sales. Or like Target that the store didn't make any big displays this year. Money talks not their virtue signaling.

Remember when the whole gaming industry tried to gaslight people into boycotting Hogwarts Legacy game because they perceived JK Rowling as transphobic? Guess what the the gamers did? They supported it with their money making it one of the best selling game of 2023.

The elites and activists think they hold the power by controlling the social narrative. But the silent majority is where the true power lies. When you don't buy into their guilt and shame tactics they will backtrack fast.

That's a moot question. The real question is, is it something that could start taking place? Should there be opposition against it taking place?

There is considerable opposition to irreversible or surgical procedures, both from the right and the left.

"Gender affirming care" is not a proposal the extreme right came up with.

What the extreme right came up with is the malicious lie that "gender affirming care" is always surgical or involves irreversible drug treatments.

Parents being weird enough, gullible enough, or weak enough to go along with it in the future is moot.

That's false. It's the push to perform drug treatments and surgical procedures on children that's being fought against. However there is also the aspect of harmful psychological treatments. If you look that up you'll see there's been plenty of them already.

• a liberal attitude to sex and gender
• assisted euthanasia
• high taxes to fund social programs, education & healthcare
• a large public service
• strong environmental laws
• green urban planning

• legalised prostitution
• renewable energy etc., etc.

Most of western Europe is progressive compared to the US which probably rates as one of the least progressive Western nations.

If you want to avoid progressives, may I recommend a trip to Russia or, better still, stay home.

You specifically went out looking for "trans chocolate". That's not even a phrase I'd think existed, let alone something I should Google and then complain about after finding it. If you practice a bit better quality control of what you allow into your life by your own actions, then you'll probably find that it's not as "everywhere" as your fears have primed you to think it is.

Heck, I come from the place that to most of your is synonymous with Sodom (California) -- and a staunchly liberal part of it, too -- and I can count the number of trans people I personally know on one hand. I don't mean that as some kind of brag ("Look how not-connected I am!"), but only to point out that it seems that this LGBT stuff is 'everywhere' relative to how much you (the 'general you') personally obsess over it. So if you want to see less of it, it would be in your best interest to stop interacting with content that prominently features that.
