Do you mean, do I think that God can't make man righteous or holy or sanctified? Or who he was created to be IOW?".

No but apparently you do. IOW if someone loses their salvation because they're not righteous, or holy, or sanctified enough, as you say can happen, that would seem to imply that God couldn't make them so in His own eyes. Or could only do so temporarily.

Confession of our sins is encouraged in the scriptures. I confess my sins to God not to man.

Legalists who have misunderstood Salvation, or religious people who are not really born again, think that they keep themselves saved.
They will teach that "confessing sin" is how they keep themselves saved.
I point out all the time to this type religious person, that if you took Jesus off the Cross, and He never died for the sin of the world, and you then :

1. are Water Baptized 150 times
2. Confess Sin all the time from dusk till dawn

If you do those, and die, you go to hell then the lake of fire.
Why?
Because those 2 things, and including everything you can possibly do OF YOURSELF, (works) can't redeem you or make you righteous. See, you have to have God's Righteousness, to by accepted by God, which is WHY you go to heaven or not.

So, confessing sin, being water baptized, being a church member, being a good person, being a nun or a priest or a minister or a pope or a TV evangelist....
= moot. = useless to get you into heaven.
Why?
Its because You can do all that and MORE, and never be born again.
Jesus said, "you MUST be born again".
So, What does that show you?
That shows you that all your self effort, is useless, and only Jesus saves.
See, Jesus's blood making you RIGHTEOUS...= is the only Way to God.
John 14:6

Water baptism need not apply.
Good deeds need not apply.
Church membership, and confirmation need not apply.
Seeing vision of Mary, need not apply.
Studying Billy Graham's Videos need not apply.
Giving your LIFE to the orphan's of India, need not apply.
Commandment keeping need not apply.
Confessing your next 500 sins, need not apply.
ALL YOUR SELF EFFORT = need not apply.

WHY?
Because God Applies the BLOOD to you, is how you are saved, or not.
What you apply, as your deeds, are "dung".

Sinning, this desire for it, and the power of the law that enflames you to want it more and more, is ended, once a believer comes to understand that the Grace of God keeps you "In Christ" as "made righteous", always.
And understanding this is the "renewed mind", and once a believers SEES THIS REVELATION of who they have become "in Christ" then they stop the striving and start to REST in God's Grace.
This REST, brings the deliverance, that is this verse...."Christ ALWAYS gives me the VICTORY".

Reader...... Jesus explained to us...>"apart from ME you can do NOTHING">
And that includes being able to stop sinning.
So, when you are trying to stop sinning, that is YOU trying, and so, that is "apart" from Jesus giving you the Victory.
See it?

To start your walk of victory, you have to become this Verse.
Hebrews 13:9
You have to live there, in your mind of Faith, and never depart.

Once a person has resolved that verse, by becoming born again.....then there is "now on condemnation to those who are IN Christ".

It means that to ABIDE IN GOD, is to be 'in Christ" and only GOD causes this... = born again.

All the born again, ABIDE "in CHRIST" having been born again into that Spiritual BIRTH.

So, if you are not abiding IN Chirst, then you are NOT BORN AGAIN, into Christ, and you will certainly end up in HELL, if that spiritual issue is not resolved by being born again.

the "filthy rags" is the idea that you keep yourself saved.
Its that self righteousness.
That would be a believer who has "fallen from grace", and is no longer trusting in Christ to keep them saved.
This person, believes they can lose their salvation, so they are invested in self effort to try to keep that from happening.
And THAT is to no longer have faith in Christ.
THAT, is legalism, which Paul defines as being "in the Flesh" and he defines it as being "bewitched".

Well, its because i understand that the renewing of the mind is what a born again person has to become.
And once that is accomplished, then their mind is renewed.
To accomplish this, is to Learn how to do it, and this means that you understand "walking IN The Spirit". .

"walking" means to exist, spiritually, AS.........

And "IN", is the position of the understanding that is to become the "renewed mind".

Everlasting life, is Eternal life.
Eternal life, is not a time period.
See, the spirit in a person, never dies, it just ends up somewhere in the end.
That's what we are all have to get right, because if we get it wrong, then we get this... John 3:36

Living forever, is not eternal life, as all the people who went to hell today, are not going to stop being alive, as the SPIRIT is the real you, and the BODY is only the temporary container.
You body is your earth suit, and its going back to the earth, but your SPIRIT, is the real you, and it does not die.

So, Eternal life, is not talking about your spirit never ending..
Eternal LIFE, is Jesus Himself, becoming the WAY you become this...."ONE WITH GOD, and Christ".
See that? That is your Spirit being BIRTHED INTO GOD's Spirit.
That is "born again" as the 'new Creation".
That is SALVATiON which is the "gift of righteousness".

God makes us as righteous as He is, using the Blood of Jesus to accomplish this, and this never ends.
God's blood, that is Jesus's Cross, is the Blood Atonement and this is applied to us, as REDEMPTION< and once applied we are forever "made righteous" by God's Blood.

Paul didn't say to battle sin, in your verses.
He said that if you put on the whole armor of God , you can "stand against the evil day" and quench the assault of the enemy".

So, to "stand".... this is very specific.
As to do that you have to never become this....>"apart from me you can do nothing".
See that?
That is how you "stand".

Reader......the battleground against spiritual darkness is in you head., not your body.
All these things we are talking about, are occurring in a person's thinking.
The devil is the deceiver, and this happens inside your head.
A person body is not what is deceived, its their MIND that is deceived.
So, that is why you are told to "renew your MIND".

All real Christianity, is based on FAITH.
"Without FAITH its impossible to please God"
Correct faith is only based on how you understand the things of God, regarding your own redemption
And by coming into the right understanding of Who you have become, as a New Creation in Christ, is how you grow in Grace and work out your salvation and "STAND".

We dont fight our flesh and the devil with our willpower, as that is how you do it apart from Christ.
We fight by FAITH, and this is all related totally to understanding our position as a "Son/Daughter of God".
We fight "the good fight of FAITH", and that is strictly to understand who you are in Christ, AS the renewed mind.

If a believer's discipleship is failing, then its because they are trying to do it by willpower and that can't work.
We can only succeed and become perfected, and attain "the fullness of the stature of Christ" on this earth when we completely rest from trying to be accepted by God, and become "it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me", as who we have become, as the New Creation.
Self righteousness is the enemy of your Christianity.
It will destroy it.

Christ is in all the born again, or they are not born again.
Yet, you can be "apart from me you can do nothing" as a powerless Christian, because you are not resting in the freedom that is found in God being always at peace with you = that is always maintained by God's own Gift of Righteousness that you have BECOME.
We the born again are MADE Righteous.
Final and eternal answer.
WE learn to rest there in our renewed mind, and that is how you find this...>"Christ always gives me the Victory".

To begin that journey, you have to live in this verse. Hebrews 13:9

Read it.

We are not righteous based on works, or "fruit".
Fruit is the bi-product, its the end result, of being born again.

God makes us righteous with the Blood of Jesus, and then because we are now become "the righteousness of God in Christ'....WE THEN DO those good works.
That's the discipleship that follows being born again.
