Hi all, I have developed feelings for a friend and I don't want those feelings, I am happy being single at the moment, trouble is we go to the same church and socialise in the same groups.@

whats the best ways to allow those feelings to fade? time + distance? what else?

You won't really know what your true feelings are unless you spend time with her =one on one. Do you laugh together, have the same goals-dreams, likes, dislikes....? The more you learn about her, the more you can say to yourself - yes or no. Yes, we have great times together, or no -we would never agree on ....., so she is just a friend.

she is my best friend, I know her very well already

List their faults, in detail.

Naa im sure it would work but doesent seem very Godly

Infatuation wants us to believe that people are perfect. There's nothing godly in denying their sin.

This takes practice, maybe even a month of practice, but it works. (It is also great for helping you to forgive anyone that hurts you.)
Get off the mental treadmill of thinking about that person in any kind of way that is not a direction you want to go in. Turn your thoughts around elsewhere, maybe particularly to prayer. Where you mind goes your heart follows. "Be therefore transformed by the renewing of your mind."

you are blessed

How so?
Granted I avoid lots of relationship problems, but being entirely and utterly alone for life, isn't perfect either.
I certainly wouldn't recommend this life to anyone else, even though it's my choice.

Both. You need to put space between you and the other person, and give it time.
