How to keep the spark alive in a relationship?

Im with a guy I absolutely love. Its been a month so far

And I got off the phone with him and he was just telling me how its importsnt to keep that spark in a relationship. I agree

I really want this relationship to last bc I love the person he is. And I have a good feeling this relationship will last a long while. But still, fot the sske of my question. how do you keep. A relatio ship from becoming stale?

Always be curious about one another. Get to know about his thoughts and interest and find ways to make them genuinely engaging to you.

How long have you’ve been acquainted? This is usually a problem for couples with greater tenure who’ve fallen into routines and lost their spontaneity and attentiveness.

The short answer is recognizing your life season and adjusting your behavior and expectations. College students have a different reality from full-time workers which differs when marriage and family enter the picture.

The long answer is learning your companion. Study him. Learn what makes him tick. What brightens his day? What excites him? Learn his dreams, hopes and fears. Pay attention to his response and body language when you talk. Pray for him and pray together.

We broach this from a position of mission and service. Through the articulation of qualities and behaviors we want to cultivate in one another based on personal goals and spiritual growth.

Giving and serving is deeply fulfilling. It betters me as a woman, companion and believer. Our mutual investment and hands-on approach keeps the relationship steady and moving forward.

Keeping things fresh has never crossed my mind. Meeting his needs and providing support and encouragement is my aim. That’s what he desires most.

Speaking: you always need to talk to each other, communicate your thoughts and actions, do not assume the other person knows what to do or knows what you are thinking. Always speak

Pray: pray together, pray for each other. It is important to put God first and let him direct your relationship. Let him be the leader. Always make time for prayers.

Appreciate: learn to appreciate eachother even in the littlest things. When you appreciate it makes the other person happy to do more for you.

Responsive: be responsive, never assume they know what is wrong. Respond when talked to to keep conversations alive. Do things together

Kindness: be kind to one another. Correct each other's fault in the gentlest ways. Say kind words to each other even in anger. Say sweet words to each other.

Above all make sure who you are with is who God wants you to be with, a relationship without God's approval won't work out regardless of the efforts put in. If it's God's will he will guide both of you through.

Might not be a super helpful post but I think "depth" over "spark" helps a relationship last. Spark is important too.. but not as a foundation. I think learning about each other and working on communicating well can help with both.
The kind of love in 1 Corinthians 13 helps too.
