The Bible has a lot to say about peace and how to get it and how one does not receive it.
Psa_34:14 Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it.
Psa_119:165 Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble.
Pro 3:1 My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands;
Pro 3:2 For length of days and long life And peace they will add to you.
Isa_32:17 The work of righteousness will be peace, And the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.
Isa_48:18 Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, And your righteousness like the waves of the sea.
Isa_48:22 "There is no peace," says the LORD, "for the wicked."
Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.
The only way to truly have peace is to be transformed in Christ,, Departing from our old way of sin, or breaking God's holy law and being transformed in Christ though His righteousness, following in His example in how He lived and living what He taught. Amen!

No one has peace when they are sinning. People may have seared their conscious but will never truly be happy and at peace unless one surrenders to God and does His will.
