Several years ago I attended a church in the city where I live where the special music consisted of a young, peroxide-blonde beauty in a skin-tight, red tube dress singing a Sass Jordan song. I was single at the time and watching her flounce around while she sang, every curve and crease more or less in full display was NOT conducive to my spiritual edification or worship of God. I was with several male friends and they had the same response. I think most people know immodest dress when they see it. A women wearing jeans and a t-shirt is not immodest if the jeans aren't skin-tight and the t-shirt isn't bulging at the seams to hold in what lies beneath. Even a woman wearing a pair of shorts can be completely within the bounds of modesty - if her buns aren't hanging out the bottom of them or the shorts aren't hugging every curve she's got. But this is quite obvious, I think.
If it is so obvious please explain why some women can be all covered up and yet have clothing that sits tight to their brests. However if they had larger size clothing then it would be showing cleavage. Either way according to you it is not modest yet they can't get clothes to fit. Don't even suggest dresses as these same women will have way more problems covering up in a dress. Sorry but it is not as straight forward as you think.

aiki,

You assume far too much and draw too many conclusions that do not follow from the premises. You are simply arguing and for that you are being inappropriate.

Godbless
Sorry but I really don't see how aiki is doing that.
I think the most inappropiate comment he made to me was saying that I don't live by agape love. however at times that is true for all of us so I can't really complain. Are you sure your not seeing something that isn't there?

Certainly, there are women who have, by virtue of their size, difficulty in finding clothing that doesn't fit them rather tightly. I think, though, that it is easy to distinguish such woman from those who don't have size issues but nonetheless wear very snug and revealing attire. I have no problem making allowances for the bigger lady who is obviously trying to dress modestly but finds her efforts confounded by her size. Again, a woman in such a circumstance is, in my experience, easy to identify and not particularly provocative.

My Mom is a bigger lady and I have never seen her wear anything that could be construed as immodest. And she doesn't seem to have any problem finding very nice but very modest clothing. I'm not sure, then, that your assertion that bigger ladies will struggle with modest dress holds much water...
