You would need to study it, because Scriptures do not include explanatory notes for modern readers.

Ok so why pretend that you know something if you’re never willing to discuss it because I’m starting to see a pattern here. You make statements then when I question them you refuse to elaborate or discuss them. I really think you just get all this from commentaries and you have no idea where your commentators got their ideas from but you just accept them as truth anyways because they have a degree in theology then you post their ideas here in CF but can’t ever explain what they actually mean or how you arrived to that particular interpretation. Basically you post it because some “smart guy” said it but you actually don’t know how they came to that conclusion so you just accept it as truth anyway because they have a degree in theology. I can post dozens of theological debates between theologians with a doctorate in theology who have polar opposite opinions. If you can’t actually explain why you believe what you believe then what use is it to accept it as truth and why even bring it up in a forum setting if your not even willing to discuss it? Honestly it’s like a slap and run away technique.

We can talk about Leviathan, what seas/waters meant in the Hebrew thinking etc. But its impossible without quoting sources. And you reject the sources. So what do you want, exactly? How do you want to talk about it, just with feelings, inventing opinions from the thin air?

Its like talking with a flat earther who does not believe space agencies, scientists, photos etc and wants everything to be proven to him personally, from the invention of a wheel. This is a forum, not a research center.

We could make it shorter and simpler if you just responded that you believe that God literally killed with a literal sword a literal multi-headed dragon in a literal sea. No deeper meaning, no cultural context.

Ok keep me posted. The speed of 1 way direct light can not be measured only 2 way reflected light.

Not at all. I just explained that. Just like Adam was created at the appropriate age to be functional as determined by God. So was the universe. If science says that age is 13 billion I’d have no reason to dispute that.

Adam. He was created at a Man. He was most likely 18-35 years old when he was created obviously we don’t know his age but he wasn’t a newborn. Whatever functional age God determine is the age that Adam and everything else He created was.

God did not create Adam at the same time created the earth and the universe though?

But that was well, well after, or was already well, well, well, already long into that already, etc.

Bible says he made man on day 6, etc.

So how long ago do you think that was, etc?

And I'm not arguing anything about Adam not being specially created/made already older or fully formed, etc, even if some others are, or might be, etc.

I just simply want to get a straight answer out of you as to how old you think the universe/this earth is or was when it was first started or made, etc?

I think that there were two competing races or species of man/human on earth at the same time, etc. One that was evolved, and the other ones that were specially created or made, etc. And that God decided to at one point in time all but completely wipe out all of those who were specially created or made, etc.

So, I am not arguing against the fact that God made Adam fully matured/formed, or that he and his descendants were not of those that were specially created or made, etc.

So I guess it begs the question, do you believe that light from a source instantaneously appears throughout the whole universe? (Since it can't be measured in a single direction)? And then when reflected becomes 186kmps?

Look at the universe today. What you see is what He created 6000 years ago (aside from some minute changes that have occurred to the universe in the past 6000 years)

You don’t think Adam was created with hair, fingernails, adult size bones?

God obviously created the stars and they could immediately be seen from earth. I already stated that God created the universe as we see it today. If he created a 25 year old Adam then Adam had hair, etc. If God created a 13b universe that that would include the light extending as we see it.

He didn’t create Adam as a man to deceive someone. He created Adam as a man because he wanted Adam to be the appropriate age for Adam to be functional. Same goes with the Universe. He created a universe that could immediately support life on earth. He gave us His Word - The Bible so that we would know. The only ones that my be confused are those that reject the Bible and God.

That's their argument basically. That everything we are seeing out away from us that we think is older is actually how the light instantly appeared to us around 6000 years ago or so, and that that light is only 6000 years old, etc. And that if we were able to go to them in an instant, they would still be just as we are right now seeing them right now, instead of that light/time catching up to us when we traveled there, or as we were traveling there, etc. It's ridiculous, I know, but as of yet there is no way to disprove it yet except for maybe one way that I just postulated here in this thread below maybe, etc.

and what evidence do you have thus far that the speed of light is constant in both directions? just asking... None of us do. But it's the most logical assumption and I'm not going to be changing my mind until we find out otherwise.
