Still going at it, huh? Keep discussing if you like, but I realized quickly why it is that I disagree that the earth is so young.

Thank you all so much for your replies:)

You'll notice that we love to go at it even way past the point of answering the question to the OP! ;)
Glad you got your answers though for sure. :)

I love it when people smarter than me can lead me to a better understanding of God......
I'm still trying to understand all this Scripture stuff! And, Wow!... I get a chance to make aquaintance with people who have God figured out to the point of knowing what He really meant when He said what He said, and are able to prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt with scientific theory and supposition.
I shore am a closed-minded dummy!

Perhaps God purposely made the evidence look as if it is correct when infact it is incorrect? Doesn't God fool the 'wise' of every age?
I'm not sure I'd say it quite like that. :o Are you referring to 1 Cor. 1:20?

"Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?" [NASB]

1 Cor 1:20 in addition to this:

1 Corinthians 3
18Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a "fool" so that he may become wise. 19For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight. As it is written: "He catches the wise in their craftiness"; 20and again, "The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile." 21So then, no more boasting about men! All things are yours, 22whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours, 23and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.

Precisely my point Josh. There is a significant difference between the following statements:

a) God views the wisdom of man as foolishness in every age.
b) God sets out to fool men in every age.

While I agree that there are situations in which God sends delusions upon certain groups [2 Thes. 2:11], I'm not convinced your former statement regarding God's fooling men is consistent with the texts you have cited.

The statements are different, but if God created wisdom they are one in the same.

God made everything including wisdom. In order for God to view certain people's wisdom as foolish he would have had to make their wisdom seem acceptable to them but foolish to God.

God doesn't necessarily set out to fool men but the end effect is that men are fooled.
