How much "Privacy" is to be expected in marriage?

Niffer, it might be the parental privacy related thing. I've noticed some knee-jerk reactions I've had to that sort of thing with DH sometimes and when I sat and really worked through it, it was major issues I had with my parents not giving me privacy, snooping or all out telling me I had no right to any of that.

could also be that it's new and he doesn't want the kiddo getting to it.

Hmm, I could see that. It really bothers him when our little one plays with the phone, ps3 remotes etc - whereas I'm kinda like "go for it, just don't dial 911"

Just as a heads up: Those babies will dial 911. It happened to me with two different babies four years apart...and the same cop showed up each time.

Ya know what's the hardest thing about being married? There are people involved. lol

The truth is that you have this flesh and blood man who sees things through different eyes than you do. His way is not inherently 'wrong' or 'right'...just different. And this may be one of those issues that you will never see eye-to-eye on. Just be sure to have love and respect and kindness for him as you spend the next ten years hashing it out.
