6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

How much longer?

How much longer can Mankind last here on earth?
With global warming disturbing the fragile ecosystems in our world, and the way we are destroying other parts of our world, can we just expect it to 'grow back'?
With all 'need' to fight each other, and go to war over and over again, when will the final war be fought?

Each day I look at the news/politics of this world and I see chaos. When will this chaos overtake us?

Your thoughts?

Ifeel like its right at the door, and it will be sooner than you think. In regard to the last war, i think it is in Israel, and its starting to boil over. Will the world embrace gods word and settle the land issue that way ,or will we use the worlds roadmap and cut god and his annointed out of the picture....Ps 2

In God's perfect timing. Could be today...could be a while from now. We can take an educated guess that things will get really bad ( who defines that but God? )...but ultimately cut short.

Many feel that way. Many have felt that way for the last 1900 years. Don't worry, you are not alone!

True. But is this point in time any different? With the way the world exists today with Israel, the technology, and the total lack of moral fiber among other things, shouldn't Christians be more expectant today?

I think we should be expectant every day. However, I don't think the world is really much worse than at other times. I think it's mainly people who don't really know much about History who think so.

As for Israel, yes, that is significant. However, the flowering of the fig tree might not actually mean what some people think. Never underestimate the ability of humans to be wrong.

I do agree we should be expectant everyday.

But I don't think there was any other time in history, technology wise, where it was possible to subjugate the entire human race like it exists today. In other words "take the mark or else" couldn't have happened a hundred years ago, let alone a thousand years ago, but it could very much be reality today.

Global warming is last plague # 4. The7 last plagues are now being poured out. If these last days were not cut short, no flesh would be saved.
The Euphrates recently dried up, so that means the Battle of Ar Mageddon is now unfolding. The Good News is, it will lead to a glorious reign of Jesus and the Church, and Satan being locked away, for 1000 years.

Hi

First off the modern nation of the Jews is not the apple of Gods Eye. God himself will destroy their Nation killing 2/3 of them and throwing the other 1/3 in the furnace of affliction for their continued stubborn rebellion and refusal to beg his forgiveness for their murder of Jesus.

Second is the world of today worse than the world of the Apostles. Roman orgies sex in the streets homosexuality openly accepted in society war the coliseum.

The World will slip further yet. Now ask yourself this do you see these things in Christian countries or Muslim countries. Who has wife swapping parties who has the flaunting of homosexuality who has this moral decay you speak of. Who deserves to receive the plagues of God for this behaviour

12: The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble, 13: And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men..

or this

Eph:5:5: For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

1Tm:1: [9] understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, [10] immoral persons, sodomites, kidnapers, liars, perjurers……………

Just who fits these descriptions the Muslim world or the “Christian” world.

As in living the most christianly life possible? Live for Christ at every moment in hopes that He'll come and find you being a good servant?
Or "expectant" meaning ready for our rapture to heaven?

Well, I do know my history quite well, and I believe that we are living in much worse times. At no point along Mankind's timeline have we encountered such a large, diverse amount of threats to our well-being, and the world in which we live.
I'm saying, add up all the wars raging right now, along with the counter terrorism that happens along side. Add up all the drugs that are running rampant over the civilized world. In every shape or form. Add up all the climate problems we are now experiencing. Earthquakes and tsunamis happen, and they havent been that much more prevalent lately than any other time, so I dont speak of them. Its the other problems such as in Canada with their forests, and in India because of their shorelines, and many others.
Add up the nuclear threat that sits on our doorstep. We're just waiting for one wrong move to be made, then...
Add up the terrible diseases that are destroying our bodies. Everything from cancer to Aids in the West, to pnemonia and tuberculosis in Africa, things seem to be getting worse, not better. With this new bird flu, which has drawn similiar comparisons to the Spanish flu, it seems their is another thread to our survival close at home.

Jim, we live in very different and dangerous times, and things arent going to get any better. You can lie to yourself and say otherwise, but I dont think that's going to help you.

God bless,

Lucas

We are currently going through the tribulation predicted in Revelations? Uh, how do you see that?

Do you have a prediction for the beginning of this war?

First let me say that i hold the historicist view, that the Revelation has been unfolding for many centuries. Today we are obviously in chapter 16, the 7 last plagues: For example, #1 is skin cancer, #2 is red tides, # 3 is water polution, # 4 is global warming ....

Do you have a prediction for the beginning of this war?
It unfolds a bit more virtually every day, like the recent election of Hamas, and the backing of Hamas by Iran and Moscow.

You are right, in that the "threats" are worse than at any other time. We have the ability to do more damage with nukes, for example, than ever before.

However, I would guess that the realities of certain times were worse. What about the plague that ravaged Europe in the 14th century? What about the other plagues that may not have been so bad in that they didn't kill a third of the population, but were still pretty bad? (The Black Plague killed 200 million people, according to this story.)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bubonic_plague#Black_Death
What about life expectancy? It was around 40 years back then, plague or no plague. What about the quality of life-"short, nasty and brutish" as one historian described it? I'll take the threats of today, so far.

How many people has the bird flu killed? Probably less than traffic accidents. Not making light of death, just that "threats" are not "reality". Yet.
