I'd like to know who polled ALL geologists? No one has, so we cannot possibly know that none of them believe in the flood solely on geologic merits.

Then find one.

I am a geologist, I work in the oil industry, I know hundreds of geologists, and I've never met one.

I'll agree there --- you have to study science (id est, be brainwashed) --- to believe the Flood makes no sense.
It actually does not make sense, since there is zero evidence of the flood whatsoever. If you are so confident there was one, give me some evidence.

Then find a geologist who believes in a global flood for scientific, rather than religious, reasons.

Why? I've already said that, imo, there isn't any evidence (since God apparently cleaned up the mess).

Oh how convenient.

Convenient???

Is that your idea of safety and sanitation?

If you were told to clean up your room, would you think your mom is telling you to clean it up for "convenience"?

Then stop saying it didn't occur. Zero evidence does not mean zero occurrence.

Sure ---

Ok so I;m going to claim that the world was covered in a thick shell of jell-o for now on, its ok because no evidence doesn't mean it didn't happen. See how that works.

Yeah, the bible is a horribly inaccurate script for anything scientific or accurate stop being so blind plz k thnx.

So you will think something happened just because a book written by fallible men thousands of years ago said it did and accept it as pure truth as well as there being no evidence, and then say "god dun it!" every time someone asks you a question. Wow can you do my homework for me bro?

Science works by falsification. When there is zero evidence for a hypothesis and great masses of evidence against it the hyposthesis is falsified. The global flood hypothesis was falsified by science long ago and the more data we accumulate the more solid that falsification becomes.

Go ahead.

See how that works.

Yes --- I most certainly do see how that works.

The fact of the matter is, you won't do it, because you don't believe it. Furthermore, you certainly wouldn't make that claim, then lay down your life to support it, knowing it is wrong.

You may do it, thinking it is right; but you certainly wouldn't do it, knowing it was wrong.

So, yes, I do know how that works. ;)

Yes, you're right. I don't believe it because I have a brain.

Are you claiming that if people are willing to die for their beliefs that they must be true??

How do you explain the Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, etc. who all died for their beliefs? Are they all true?

Science works by falsification.

Yes, by falsifying itself. It cannot --- cannot --- falsify God, Who created it.

[bible]Romans 9:20[/bible]

When there is zero evidence for a hypothesis and great masses of evidence against it the hyposthesis is falsified.

Evidence must be interpreted correctly; that is, in the light of Scripture, not the other way around.

The global flood hypothesis was falsified by science long ago...

Once again, not by unanimous vote. Majority vote, maybe; unanimous vote, I highly doubt it.

No --- I'm saying that people will not die for something they know is wrong. In fact, that is basic psychology.

How do you explain the Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, etc. who all died for their beliefs? Are they all true?

They died for what they thought was right --- none died for what they knew was wrong.

Your brain thought it up though, did it not?

Reality and common sense plays a part in it too.

You say that we must observe evidence through scripture, yet your scripture is full of contradictions, inaccuracies and falsehoods. Seems like a pretty poor template to judge evidence through, huh?

Once again, if you want to claim the world is covered in a thick shell of Jell-o from now on --- do it. Otherwise, please don't try and use that as a refutation for Scripture. Okay?

Don't threaten to do it --- do it --- then we'll talk.

That's another subject altogether.
