I wonder if 2000 years from now some tour guide in early 21st century ruins will say "It is amazing that so many of the people who could send men to the moon and sequence the human genome still clung to the primative belief that a supernatural diety created the universe in 6 days."

One of my favorite cartoons is of a far future archeological dig in what used to be South Florida. The archeologist is saying to some reporter types

"We think the worshipped a giant mouse".
