And believe me --- if you guys ran the world like you interpret the Bible --- and used the Bible as your Guide --- we wouldn't be around for you guys to mistrust.
It doesn't matter how we interpret the Bible. I'm just saying that no one in their right mind should listen to you.

Posts don't increase reps.

LOL you don't read much do you.
FAQ said:
Default Reputation for new members is 10.
For every 365 number of days, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.
For every 1000 number of posts, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.
For every 1000 points of reputation, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.
Here would be an example: Lets say you have 3000 posts, have been registered for just over a year and have a reputation of 1000.
3000 Posts: 3 Points 365+ Days: 1 Point Rep of 1000: 1 point
In this example, when you click this icon in someone's post, you can increase that person's reputation 5 points.

Don't count on it --- I've got more questions asked me than you have posts.

You should listen to your peers --- ;)

LOL you don't read much do you.
I must read more than you, then.

Rep power and reps are two different things.

Posts don't increase reps --- they increase rep power.

(Sorry --- I couldn't wait to spring that on someone.)

Just because they ask you questions, doesn't mean they're going to listen to you ;) I believe I'm the one who coined the term "circus freak" for you...

And even if they do listen, they're just unaware of the danger.

Don't count on it --- I've got more questions asked me than you have posts.

And you've dodged, evaded, ad-hoced, shucked and jived your way past most of them.

Questions are easy -- alas, you've got fewer answers than Patrick Stewart has hairbrushes.

And you would know the answer is wrong --- how?
just based on logic; if you manage to so spectacularly misinterpret a message from someone you're talking to in real time, imagine how far off you are with words written thousands of years ago, handed down through generations and translated time and time again while in the hands of political leaders.

And even when left to his own devices, AV comes up with the cutest absurdities -- his "Neptune as a warning beacon to angels" schtick was particularly laughable on so many levels.

Point out the words I'm "spectacularly misinterpreting" in this conversation, which supposedly is an example of what you're talking about:
Q: Where is evidence of the Flood?
A: God removed it.
I usually get accused of giving an "ad hoc" answer to that question (even though it should be "ad lib", not "ad hoc").

But anyway, I get accused of giving an ad hoc answer to that question.

How would you answer it?

Actually, it's a little bit of both... "ad lib" in that you're answering off the top of your head, and "ad hoc" in that you're applying it selectively and inconsistently.

After all, The point of a miracle is to demonstrate God's power -- when was the last time God committed a miracle and then hid every last trace of it?

But anyway, I get accused of giving an ad hoc answer to that question.

How would you answer it?

I think we all know the answer to that one

Fair enough --- if that's your best answer --- continue thinking about me the way you do.

I can't help that.

At least I co-operate.
