The Law is still in effect. For all those judged as unbelievers.
Believer's salvation is judged by grace through faith.( by Jesus keeping the law thereby fulfilling it)
Now should we keep that Law in our heart? Yes. The law is easy to understand. It is all about love. If you love you will not sin.

I also had "desire of ages" and "patriarchs and profits" but they were too long to bother reading, though I was told by somebody that "desire of ages" was not too bad a read. I ended up giving "desire of ages" to a pentecostal lady I know and tossed "patriarchs and prophets" in the big wheely bin. They were all pushed into my mail box by somebody who walking around the neighbourhood, a few neighbours mentioned getting them too and tossing them in the bin.

The fire starter worked well, about 700 pages to burn

He accepted me way before I accepted Him and He showed me that I needed a savior.

Yes...that's true. See Romans 5:18....But you also needed to accept Him by faith (see Rom 5:17). That moment you went from under law to under grace.

What about if you hadn't received Christ? If Christ did away with the law, as you err in thinking, then there's nothing left to condemn you. That's universalism, which states everyone will be saved anyway.

All Christians are under grace not under the Law.

The opposite of agape. Self-love is the the opposite of agape. Agape is what makes law keeping possible. This we do not have by nature.

Agape is not self-seeking. (1 Cor 13:5) Agape never lives for itself.

If you are living for yourself...if you are loving self then you aren't "loving your neighbor". Self-love fulfills sins. Agape fulfills the law.

If I really loved my neighbor as I loved myself, my neighbor would have all my goodies. I am a sinner....Yes I'm growing, but growth doesn't save me. The law demands all or nothing. I need Christ and I need to be delivered from under law.

Really, you don't know? Maybe you should put down those odd books a while and read the gospels. It will show you the greatest love of all.
Love is the act of putting another before self.
Sin is the result of not loving. You can find that in the Parables in those gospels i'm suggesting.
