I personally have the following bibles-

- NIV edition with water colour pictures
- NIV version with Adventures in Odyssey comics throughout
- NIV version with teen study helps
- NKJV with study helps, this one is leatherbound so its pretty good.

Plus we have countless Bibles scattered throughout the house. Most KJV.

My favourite translation to use is KJV, but not for general reading. NKJV is therefore a good all-around compromise.

the only bible i own is a living bible. its ok in some places, not as good in others. whenever im studying in depth i use multiple translations online and definitely dig into the original hebrew and greek using parallel translations.

I have the "New Defenders Study Bible" (KJV). It is awesome and has tons and tons of notes. Not sure if anyone has heard of it?

I guess the Apologetics Study Bible is akin to that. Does it have articles? If so, like what kind of stuff and by what authors?
I have an apologetics study bible, and the one I received when I got baptized.

Just two right now. My trusty NIV which replaced my youth bible when I decided I was a grown up and my new parallel bible which has the KJV, NIV, NLT and NASB. I really like having a range and especially being able to see what the different manuscripts say. However, my favourite is now the NASB. As I'm not exactly a traditional conservative Christian some of the translation choices made by the NIV commitee I really don't agree with. I also use biblegateway and blueletterbible. I'm really tempted to buy Accordance for my Mac which will give me the original Greek and Hebrew and as my translations as I fancy.

Dunno if I should be posting here as I am not a "single".

I have one: Korean and English (NIV I think) texts side by side. I use it ocasionally for language study.

I have also seen a Gideon Koran in a hotel room in the Middle East.

Neither am I but welcome and you'll find all the single people here welcoming and happy to see you. This forum is more of a bunch of friends than a group of people who shun anyone as soon as they find someone to date.

I own an Authorized KJV for when I want to sound like Shakespeare... and a couple of NASB's, one that is thinline, and another with cross references that I highlight and study from. I also have an ESV, I really like this translation, a lot better than the NIV, I don't like the NIV or message at all.

I find it really interesting that some of you have so many different translations. I really have only ever had one - the NIV Study Bible is one that I have read through off and on over the years. I am really into wanting to try out different translations lately tho - as a compare/contrast to see how they are similar or how they differ.
