If you want to believe the time of the end was thousands of years ago then that is your belief. You have been misled by those who said it was.
Why should I believe you when you say it is now? What makes you more an expert than those in the past who claimed to have all the answers about the "end times"?
If your answer is "because I'm right", well, that's a bad answer. That's what they said too.
Now, I do believe we've been living in the time of the end for the last two thousand years, but that's because Scripture tells us this. When St. Peter gave his sermon on Pentecost, by the direct inspiration of the Holy Spirit, he said that the things which the people in Jerusalem were witnessing were a direct fulfillment of Joel's prophecy, in which during the Last Days God would pour out His Spirit on all flesh. The anonymous author of the Epistle to the Hebrews specifically says "in these Last Days" God spoke to us through His Incarnate Son and Word, Jesus Christ our Lord.
When does this present time of the end come to a close? When Christ returns. When does Christ return? We don't know. Jesus tells us no one knows except His Father. Since Jesus says no one knows, I don't pretend like I could know.
I'm not a soothsayer or a diviner, I don't spill pig's blood, throw bones, or do anything to try and predict what will happen tomorrow, or assign current events to some arbitrary end times scenario that I've made up in my head. The Bible tells me that divination and soothsaying are contrary to the will of God, Christ tells me to not be anxious about tomorrow, because today has sufficient problems to worry about, and to trust my Loving Father in heaven who cares for me and provides for me--for He knows the number of hairs on my head, and when the sparrow dies.
I don't know what makes you any different from the thousands of self-assured predictors of apocalyptic events of the past, except that you say so. You can wave your arms up and down and yell, "But I'm right! The Bible says so" but that's what they all said too.
Which is why I can't do anything other than what Luther did at the Diet of Worms, "If I cannot be convinced by plain reason and the clear word of God, I will not, I cannot, recant. My mind is held captive to the word of God. Here I stand, I can do no other, so help me God."
If you think I should believe you, then you should probably try a different approach other than throwing a tantrum.
