36“But of that day and hour
no one knows,
not even the angels of [f]heaven, but My Father only.
37But as the days of Noah
were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
38For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,
39and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
Yeah, I know, standard operating procedure is to say, "Ah we can't know the hour or the day, but we
can know the year, month, fortnight, week, etc." It's just a considerably less than clever attempt to get around what our Lord said. Take's a fair amount of hubris to play that game, IMO.
Well, if you're doing that stuff, stop it. It's a bad idea whatever the exccuse.
I'd advise anyone to leave off trying to predict what out Lord said we ain't gonna no. Lot's of peple have claimed to know when He's going to return over the centuries, and they've all ended up looking like nincompoops. Personally, not a group I'd care to join. Our Lord will come when it's His good pleasure, and we don't know when that's gonna be any more than we know when we'll draw our last breath. But one is as inevitable as the other.
You mean, as thoug
h he didn't know when our Lord was returning
? But y'all have all that figured out, haven't you? Why should it comes as a surprise to anyone?
Here's a slogan you can use (the originator doesn't use it any more for some reason): "Millions now living will never die!"
