This just happened to me. I got preggers on my second month and my best friend has been trying for a year! They were still happy for us and I think, it has changed a lot for them. I can't explain how really, but I can tell that their perspective/tactics are changing a bit toward their own attempts to conceive.

In the mean time, I have invited my friend to 'share my womb'. I write her everyday and tell her all the intimate details of how I'm feeling, etc. Sharing her sorrow and my happiness (and fears) has really brought us closer together in a very short time.
Thank you so much for this advice, if we ever got pregnant before them then I would want to share everything with her without rubbing her nose in it, so I guess I would need to tread carefully.

My hubby turned to me in bed last night and asked me if I wanted to properly start trying - so I agreed

So now we're out of the "not trying, but not not-trying" into the "yeah let's make a baby" stage

It's exciting eh!

So how's everyone doing? I noticed many of you were at the "still waiting..." stage - any news?

I'm STILL waiting and still getting negative test results!?!?
But i'm gettin even more symptoms and they're unusual for me because I never get these symptoms ( for example never get sore boobs - but they've been gettin worse)

Anyway hope everyone is alright and keeping their chins up!

My hubby and I have been trying officially for just over a week. Went off the pill and then my "friend" came early. Not a good start!

Oh well... it can only get better I suppose. I was taking one-a-day multivitamins but started prenatal this morning. Felt nauseous shortly after... Not sure if it's just me or if the multi vitamin could be causing it. Other multi vitamins have caused me nausea in the past. Since the prenatal are important, I really hope it's not those! Anyone else nauseous from prenatal vitamins?

not been nauseous from prenatal vits but felt rubbish everytime i took a wellwoman vitabiotic - bought them off the shelf, they're just for wellbeing really but they have like folic acid and primrose oil and lots of other good stuff, but everytime i took one i would get a sore stomach and feel ill. Maybe it was just too much for me or something.

Needless to say i stopped taking them and now just take folic acid tablets

It is ok then to just take folic acid pills? Is there anything else (in the prenatal vitamins) that I should be taking as well?

DH and I are on our fourth month of trying. This would be baby number 1 for us. It is quite nerve-wracking for us considering my biological clock is ticking fast. My mother went through early menopause at the age of 38, so I am really praying that I won't follow in her footsteps.

This is something you should probably make an appointment to see your Dr about :)
My Dr said I am fine with just the folic acid, but I know other women on here were advised by their Doc's to also take a prenatal (which I believe are perscribed anyway)

We stopped using BC in June of 2004, but started charting about two weeks ago (right before I started ovulating). I'm kind of excited, I'm supposed to start tomorrow but I'm hoping I'll get good news instead. :D I hope everyone who's been TTC for a long time will get their miracle soon. :)

Thanks... I actually went to see the doctor for something else yesterday and we briefly chatted about vitamins. He told me I should call this place called "Mother Risk" if I have any questions concerning vitamins and prescriptions. I'm not sure if it's just a Canadian group or not... Trying to see if they have a website for some quick answers.

Here's the website: http://www.motherisk.org/women/index.jsp It's run by SickKids

My DH and I are "officially" TTC yet, but we are preparing to make that step! We decided that we were going to start trying end of summer, early fall. Although after reading this I'm thinking that we might want to start earlier.

I am planning on going to the doc in Febuary for a check up and to make sure everything is okay. I was put on BC when I was 18 because I had about 3-4 periods a year. So I am hoping that being on BC for 7 years will fix the problem. For those who are TTC is there anything I should ask my doc when I go in for a check up? Or any tests that should be run?

You who are trying are in my prayers, I hope that it is in God's plan for my DH and I to conceive.
