How long have you been saved?

I had always believed in God ever since I heard of who He is. I started going to a youth group in 1992 and was even baptized in may 1993......zip through a less than Godly lifestyle over the next 7 years and actually thinking I was saved because I was baptized.....my dad died of a stroke August 25, 2000 after being in a coma two days. I had attended the Baptist church in the town I was living in a couple times about 18 months before that at the invitation of my best friend Robert. Between that time and my dad's passing, there was a new pastor there. I started going back in September 2000 and after just a month and ALOT of prayers and teachings and such, I knew I had to truly accept the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross as payment for my sin debt if I wanted to go to Heaven. I did that October 15, 2000. My life has been so much better since. I could not have gotten over losing my father without God's healing grace and mercy. Praise be to Jesus Christ Almighty!

In Christ,

Jeff :)

 ........I was raised in the New Age faith...(whatever that is) but God is so Forgiving!!!
I gave my life to the Lord whole heartedly Easter Sunday last year. I find it hard to think about my life prior to that....I have no idea how I got through... I didn't...the Great I AM got me through!! I have been through so much since then and God is constantly stretching my tent pegs. I'm speechless when it comes time to put into words my gratitude!!
Blessings, Bree

Well I grew up in a Christian family and always considered myself to be a Christian, but I didn't realise the implecations of that belief until I was about 15 and started "working" for an evangelical charity. My faith grew cold for about 1 year and then about 8 months ago I came back to Christ, thanks to my beautiful fiancé.

I thank God every day for sending me Sandy and using hime to save my Soul!!

I was saved about 20 years ago, when I was around 30 years old. I knew almost nothing about Christianity or the Bible. When I think back on it now, it amazes me that the very few people I knew who were Christians, told me so very little about it.

After my divorce I found myself a single parent and decided it would be a good idea to quit drinking. But I still wanted to socialize. They told me about this place that was a Christian night club. All they had there to drink was soda. So I thought that would be good. They would get different Christian groups to come in and sing and I thought the music was wonderful. Eventually I started to learn a little bit about Christianity. Someone asked me if I wanted to get saved, and I had no idea what they were talking about. At first I was a little bit afraid, but then I figured I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. I was hoping something good would come out of it. Turns out a LOT of good came out of it. Over the years I have sinned, thinking I could get away with it, turns out you don't. But I never, ever wanted to give up being a Christian. God is so loving, forgiving and He has just been really, really good to me. He is just always there to help me and bail me out whenever I am in trouble. He always has a solution for every problem and a answer (eventually) for ever question.

For me, I can not see why anyone would want to be anything other than a Christian. What little pleasure there is in sin is little more than a snowball that melts in your hand or a puff of smoke that disappears in the wind. But when God does something, you have it forever.

LORD, GIVE ME STRENGTH
My, I must have been around 10 and it was more than likely end of 1980 or beginning of 81. I still made lots of mistakes, but I know when I ask for forgiveness that I am forgiven. I have wondered many times if I was "really" saved, cause I did make so many mistakes, but again, I remember, God forgives.
