That doesn't answer the question: how could you distinguish between:
1) you having a psychological incident where you think the Holy Spirit has confirmed that you are born again, and
2) you having the Holy Spirit actually confirm that you are born again.
That is, how could you distinguish between a genuine 'born again' experiance, and a self-delusional 'born again' experiance? What is the relevant litmus test?[/quote Before i become a christian ,The Holy Spirit did not live in my heart. Once i was graciously saved by Jesus, The Holy Spirit came in to my heart. God has begun a good work in my heart, preparing me for heaven. I am not all that i will be, but i am not what i was. The Lord is changing my heart. I can see many changes in my life , as a born- again christian. I am aware of Jesus leading and guiding me each day. I know a peace and a joy , that i did not know before. None of this was true before i became a Christian.
