if you are a born- again christian then you can not lose your salvation. Once you are saved, you are always saved.
Interesting. What if:

1) A born-again Christian massacered Muslims in their millions? Would they still be sinless and worthy of Heaven?

2) A born-again Christian renounces their faith and takes up the heathen naughtyness of, say, Buddhism, or Satanism?

Not to put Buddhism on par with Satanism, of course.

If you wander ,as a christian ,The Lord loving guides you back into His fold. We are not saved because of any righteousness of our own , but because of Jesus righteousness. Christians are clothed in Jesus righteousness. We are one with Jesus , and are accepted and forgiven because Jesus blood has washed our sins away. We are saved by God's grace , and through faith in Jesus alone , not by works. We are God's people and so desire to please God. We will still sin though, until we get to heaven, because our flesh is weak. The Holy Spirit helps us to turn away from sin. God will punish and reward Christians in heaven according to their deeds on earth. When we sin we say sorry to God, and He graciously forgives us. We then ask for Jesus help to turn away fron that sin. Our soul is saved already, but as we pain God's heart each time we sin, we say sorry to God for hurting Him . God is our loving Heavenly Father, Jesus has brought Christians in to a right relationship with God, through His perfact sacrifice of Himself for us on The Cross. PRAISE HIS MOST WONDERFUl NAME ! " Souls in danger look above, Jesus completely saves, He will pull you by His love out of the angry waves. "

He didn't guide me back to the fold. What gives?

Yes, I never got that. Why didn't we wash away everyone's sins, rather than just the sins of his believers? It seems rather arbitrary for an omnipotent being, don't you think?

I'm not concerned about salvation, I'm concerned about how, if I was given such sure and certain evidence, I managed to go and become an atheist?

then you weren't given such sure and certain evidence. you probably never knew him. also i would seriously doubt the majority of atheists who convert from christianity by reason of pure evidence.

however, some of our greatest apologists were once atheists.

He wants you to choose. all free will ultimately flows from this one choice: to follow God or not. Everything done is directly tied back to this question. He's not going to violate your free will with something that directly resembles this question, the question itself.

i'm just curious, you are a wiccan, how do you view Christianity? what do you think causes it? Why do you think it's so big? I'm just curious, to hear from a different perspective.

He wants you to choose.
Why?

all free will ultimately flows from this one choice: to follow God or not. Everything done is directly tied back to this question. He's not going to violate your free will with something that directly resembles this question, the question itself.
Nonsense. He allegedly manifested as Jesus Christ. He could only interfere more by tapping into our minds.

i'm just curious, you are a wiccan, how do you view Christianity?
It is one of several monotheistic religions prevalent in the West. It is notable for its size and its bloody history, but not much else.

what do you think causes it?
Personally? Paul had an epileptic fit, hallucinated Jesus etc, wrote it down, and formed Christianity. The other gospels were retroactively written.
Why do I believe this? Because it explains why Paul's mythos contains few Pagan elements, but later writings (Mark, Matthew, etc) contain many Pagan elements. Indeed, much of the mythology surrounding Jesus appears to be lifted directly from previous cults and sects (from Ancient Egyptian mythology to the then-current Mithrasism).

Why do you think it's so big?
I think it is big because it was made the state religion of Roman Empire. If Constantine had made Mithrasism the state religion of the Empire, then Mithrasism would be as popular today as Christianity is. It formed in the right place at the right time, I believe.

a) because we can see God's handiwork all around us. b) because God reveals Himself to Christians, graciously, by The Holy Spirit.

Okay, but OP I would really suggest that you read a book on apologetics because there is so, so, so much more to this thing.

The truth is still The Truth whether one chooses to believe it or not. God exists , and this is The Truth.

See, I can make logically unsound and philosophically unconvincing arguments, too.

Excuse me - what does this mean , please ?

It's a kind of code for "that wasn't convincing at all." It started off as sarcasm, but now it's far too obvious to count, in most cases. It tends to be used when a theist asserts their veracity and provides no argument - as you have done.

Jesus is God. God came to earth , and lived as both man and God. There is much evidence- historical records -of this. Even some of those who saw Jesus doubted that He is God. This is because their spiritual eyes were closed to The Truth. It is the same for all of us. Until God opens our eyes to The Truth, we can not understand. If we earnestly ,and sincerely, seek God we will find Him.
