A lady in my church was sent home to die in August. She had cancer of the stomach and colon that they said was terminal. She was told she had maybe 8 weeks, but certainly wouldn't see Christmas. Pictures of the tumors were taken during her exams, so there is no doubt of the severity. She got all nutrition through a bag, couldn't eat. Following what the Bible says, she had our church elders pray for her and annoint her with oil.By October she was feeling hunger and eating broth.

Two weeks ago she was feeling completely fine. She had another round of testing done, and the cancer is completely gone. Totally. Nothing on the new pictures.

My knee - which had been damaged in a football tackle 5 years before was healed miraculously by God during a prayer session, on the internet of all places. I was certainly a non-believer in the existence of miracles, but when God asked me if I believed he could heal me... what was I about to say.

I once fell down a 15 metre waterfall into an underground lake which was extremely deep. I was wearing full hiking kit, with about 15pds of stuff in my pack. I was hiking with friends, but they couldn't see where I had gone down to. I managed to haul myself out of the lake, then make my way out of a series of caves, and then crawl up a large stone hill. I then walked approximately 2 miles back to where the cars were, on what turned out later to be an ankle with about 20 bone fragments, and a couple of good and proper fractures in my right foot. I was able to make it to the cars before I passed out. Somehow I survived. By the grace of God. This was about as remote as you could get, and if I hadn't gotten myself out, I could have been stuck down there for a lot longer, possibly even drowned in the first place.

That's not the miracle though... I was supposed to be in plaster for 8 weeks. I prayed and prayed, and other people were praying for me. After 1 week in plaster, I could walk without aid of crutches, and without pain. After 2 weeks - the next doctor's appointment, I had no pain whatsoever, and I ran around the xray room several times to prove my point. They tried x-rays, and even a catscan, and couldn't find any trace of the bone fragments or fractures that had been there 2 weeks before.

Even I was amazed. :)

God saved my life four times.

The last time I was crossing the street in a crosswalk, and was about one foot away from the center line. I looked up to see a brown pickup speeding toward me, and could tell he wasn't going to stop. I was in his lane. I froze. Talk about couldn't move, I knew what was going to happen, and I COULD NOT MOVE, frozen just like a deer staring into the oncoming headlights - only this was in broad daylight.

The next instant, I felt the pickup whooooshhhh past me within inches, and I was stunned, because suddenly I was at the side of the road, near the gutter!! I knew it had NOT been under my own power, for I was still FROZEN! A lady pulled up in her car and repeatedly said, "Are you alright?" I couldn't answer at first, because what had happened was more shocking than nearly getting myself run over.

That is amazing! I would never guess praying on the Internet would have such amazing results as that. It shows how powerful prayer is, and how much God cares for us. :amen:

you must define "miracle". a miracle is an event that defies all natural explanations, and works in a way that defies natural laws. ie. walking on water, raising a dead body to life, opening the eyes of a forty year old man born blind, restoring withered hands and feet to full strength in a moment, etc. Miracles like those Jesus performed are not happening today. but there is one miracle that is still happening. It is the miracle of salvation. the one laying dead in trespasses and sin is raised to newness of life by the Spirit of God. the one with spiritually blind eyes and deaf ears, has them opened by the word of God. the mind of the one without spiritual understanding has his mind opened to the things of God as found in the scripture. these are the miracles God is still working today. The miracles of Christ were pictures to illustrate the nature of salvation. I was blind but now I see!!!!!!

My daughter was born with a hole in her left lung. An operation was ordered to relieve the air that that building up in her chest cavity. They prepared her for transfer to Children's Hospital; but before the transfer took place, the Lord stepped in and completely healed the hole in her lung, and all the air in the chest cavity simply disappeared!

I have two big ones:

My mom had a stroke on her way home from work one day. She went to the emergency room where doctors told her she was an aneurism waiting to happen. They don't usually find these enlarged blood vessels until the person is dead or in a coma. My mom couldn't move the left side of her body, but the doctors told her that the stroke was "lucky" because she could have just not woken up one morning.

My mom went to the hospital in March and it was that particular month that the doctors were studying a particular surgery to remove enlarged blood vessels in the brain without having to cut open the head. Three days before my mom arrived at the emergency room, the specialist of this particular surgery had flown in from California. Before the specialist left his home, he had searched Memphis for different churches to attend. Guess what? He had called our church..way out in the middle of nowhere. It is very unknown.

When my mom had the surgery the doctors discovered five more blood vessels that were ready to pop. They removed them all and when she came out of surgery she could move the left side of her body. She is fully restored.

The second:

My sister's dog Hooch is just like a member of the family. He's a big dog. Well, for about a month maybe more Hooch had stopped eating. He lost at least 20 pounds. My sister and her husband couldn't undertsand what was wrong with him. Eventually, after many ring around the rosies from vets, they learned that Hooch had distemper. The statistics on this illness is that it is fatal. Only 3% ever survive once they get it. Hooch had brain spasms, drool uncontrollably (unusual for him), and he couldn't even stand up (reminder: this dog is not old).

I kept feeling a need to go and lay hands on Hooch. However, I was so busy with college and work I didn't really have the time. Somehow, though, I made it one night. (Background info: my sister and husband have yet to be saved):
as I was sitting in the floor of my sister's house and petting Hooch, I was wondering if I should say a silent prayer (to not offend my unsaved family) or to pray aloud. Of course, I decided to pray aloud, which is odd for me because I am very timid.

So, I announced to everyone in the room that I was about to pray and if anyone wished they could gather around. I laid hands on Hooch and prayed a prayer I can't remember. I only know that I started crying.

Well, after that I went home with my mom. Three days later my sister called and said that Hooch's brain spasms stopped, he started eating, and he not only stood up, but walked, ran, and swam in the lake by my sister's house.

I'm happy to report that Hooch is in full recovery and gained all is weight back, if not more.

A miracle that I could really rejoice over would be to see my sister and her husband saved. I'm still working on it.
