How does everyone feel about Spongebob?

Queer Eye For the Square Guy?

  • Absoultly NOT!

  • ...I knew it all along.

  • I don't watch childish cartoons.

  • I've always kinda wondered, but I never knew for sure.

I don't think that Squrebob is queer but, if you look closely at other cartoon shows you can get ahint of some of thwem being Gay.
JEM is very much underlined as being lesbian.
Many Warner Bros. cartoons ae leaning toward being Gay Elmer Fudd for an example.
REN AND STIMPY was strongly going gay, but, was tone daown when on Nickallodeon.
Any other examples will be appreciated.

I don't know what everyone else thinks but here's what I think. The whole point of that show is to entertain toddlers and preschoolers, maybe even elementry. As far as I'm concerned it's just fine for the younger of ages (probably less than 10) but anybody else who's in jr. high, high school or older shouldn't be watching it. First of all, anybody older than elementry school has much better stuff to do than watch a show that's meant for VERY little people. I can understand if a parent watches it with their children or a sibling watching it with their little sibling or somebody, but other than that it's just patheitic to me. Once again, I can understand the humor and everything from their point of view but beyond that it's just stupid. Hopefully my answer makes sense to everybody.

Do you have examples of episodes to prove your theory?

As for Spongebob, I enjoy watching it with my nephews from time to time. It's so stupid that it's funny. I sometimes think people look too deep and are just digging up things to start controversy.

I like Patrick better than Spongebob. :)

Now that I think about it...

There was one episode of Spongebob where Spongebob and Patrick were playing mommy and daddy to an orphaned baby clam.

I think that a nutjob may have seen this episode and jumped to conclusions.

Please tell me that you are kidding. Although I think I recall that high schoolers back in the 90's started carrying around Barney dolls. Oh, wait a minute, we carried around small barney dolls with lynch ropes around his neck hehehehehehe The I Hate Barney movement.

Does anyone recall that Sesame Street put out an official announcement proclaiming that Burt and Ernie were just friends and were not gay? I really think people make too big an issue out of fictional cartoon characters.

haha so not kidding. And I remember the I hate barney movment. But that was when I was in elementary school. Funny the people who hated kids shows when they were kids, do this now? I never thought B&E were gay, haha guess I was just so closed minded to that and the fact if Santa was real:sorry:

And to beach blonde, the idea of a nap during school wouldn't be such a bad idea (oh wait I do that anyways, haha just kidding) but I think I've had my fare share of stale saltines in my life^_^

Spongebob is stupid and I laugh anyway sometimes; he's gay because he holds hands??? how come men can't show affection the way women can without being labeled gay? what's up with that? John says he put his head on Jesus' breast and there are gays who try to make something out of that - why? what's so wrong w/ just affection?

I don't believe Spongebob is gay. What would lead someone to this conclusion? Does every male figure need to look and act like GI Joe? Are we suppose to just believe that anyone who isn't "macho" is gay? Why do people feel the need to label everything. It is a cartoon, nothing more and nothing less. There hasn't been a episode where SB has "come out" or done anything that was openly gay. I am not even a fan of the show, and I don't agree. When I view a cartoon and I see an open display of homosexuality, then I will believe there are gay cartoon characters until then........I won't.

I am an adult and have no children but I still enjoy watching cartoons, that shouldn't make anyone scared. I like them because one, I think they are funny, two not a whole lot on tv that I do enjoy watching right now, and three it reminds me of when I was a kid :)

Laughter is a great medicine :D
