LOL...I'm 42 years old and I have been around homosexuals my whole life. I've known women who have been sexually abused by their fathers and chose to have lesbian relationships, I've known men who were sexually assaulted at a young age by older men and were convinced that they were homosexual, and I've seen and talked with and know MANY that God has delivered out of that sexual bondage and have saved from that spiritual and physical death sentence.

Ok...all these "testimonials" have one centric thing in common, atleast the ones I looked at. "My life got so horrible so became gay/lesbian thinking it would help! But then it just got WORSE!!! BUt then I accepted my sins and I was aaaaaallllll better!" That seems to be the central script in the ones I saw

And ANY person trapped in sin could say the same, but God calls us to CHANGE to no longer be slaves to our flesh but to become new creature in Him.

Technically, wouldn't any sexual person be guilty of this. Or, anyone who enjoys physical pleasures of any kind? (a nice meal, a backrub, a funny t.v. show after a long day of work, etc.)

Perhaps not sexual in a mature sense, but children are intrinsically sensual. They actively seek contact with people, and the people that they seek contact with are sexual.

Yes, this is what I mean by nosexual. When kids are first born, I don't think that have a sexual preference towards one gender or the other. I think that this starts at around five or six. (At least that is when a type of sexual preference started for me. Errr, it was actually more of a sexual curiosity of the opposite sex.)

Ive met PLENTY of girls who go "Oh Im bisexual" but the second a girl even looks twice at her, that "bisexual" atitude disapears mighty fast. Met ALOT of those, but NEVER have I met an ex-gay.

Asking someone to stop being gay is just plain silly. Being gay is not a choice, it's a genetic thing. A guy doesn't wake up one day and say "I'm gonna be gay for here on in!" and there ya go. It's a physical attraction that is different from the natural one of males to females.

No one can stop being gay. If you're gay, you're gay, forever and ever. Though many will deny and ignore it.

I don't know, maybe some people like kdet weren't really homosexuals, but they thought that were homosexual because of some painful experience in the past?

In some other threads I've read that homosexuality is considered to be a sin because of a mistranslated Bible. So maybe there's no point in trying to cure it, if it isn't wrong?

My father tried his very best to live what Christians assume to be the “good Christian life”. But it didn’t fix him, all it did was make him miserable. Today he just accepts that he is gay and he lives a very happy life.

I am glad he dropped this idea that Christianity can make you happy and found happiness on his own.
