So what if you decided to give something special to your spouse every anniversary does it change the day. Your anniversary is a set time every year and it could fall on any day of the week. The gift on that day is significant and it a memorial because you had another ritual on that day-a wedding! Do you still have a wedding on your anniversary? Of course you don't but you do something else symbolic on that day because of your love and comment to each other.
What are the stated rules for how an anniversary is to be celebrated? If I'm going to celebrate an anniversary, shouldn't I first consider how it is supposed to be celebrated?

Do you know what a ritual is? Is a day a ritual or do you do rituals every day? The killing of animals was a service or a ritual that was symbolic of Yashua's life and death. The sacrifices and oblations were symbolic of the Savior dying for man's sin. Just because the Savior dies does not mean you do not have to follow the plan.
So we really don't need to keep the holy convocations as God commanded?

Your body instead of those animals must become a living sacrifice.
This sounds like a whole new idea, not the celebration of an old one.

The sacrifices did not make the day because these days were before the sacrifices. Gen 1:14 and Gen 2:1-3
Actually, I believe the sacrifices came before the days. When the days were added, new and special sacrifices were added as the way in which the days were to be celebrated.

BFA my suggestion to you is to throw out the OT and forget that it exist and just read the NT
I'm not a fan of this suggestion. The OT has a wealth of good information. However, as you've acknowledged, this information does not necessarily apply to all people. Animal sacrifices, for example, do not.

I am going to have to go with BFA on this one. There new sacrifices added as the days were added to symbolize different things. Remember the COI had to be taught and reminded after those years of slavery, plus they were to be examples to the people around them.

All I can tell you is this look at the source and trace them back. Most of those whom you've said have all different pronunciation of those letters. Do you honestly think that Yahweh would take heed concerning His name if He did not want you to know what it actually is? I think not, I lived in Israel over twenty years ago and the little group of Adventist called the Father Yahweh and the Son Yashua. The correct pronunciation of His name was Yahweh until the reason Sacred Movements. The letters are vowel letters and they make that sound and this come from experts in the field and not religious zealots. Jehovah was known over fifty years that it was not correct and what they found at the Dead Sea proved the consistency in the writing of the various pieces they discovered. We are dealing with Satan who is the author of confusion and lies and he is the master of deception. First I pray for guidance even with my profession and believe that the Holy Spirit will lead me into all truth. I also seek knowledge but from experts in the field like epigraphist and linguist who both are specialist in the field of languages. They are the ones for years who have provided that those four Hebrew letters were unique because they were vowels sounds and about "adonai," and the vowel used by the Masoretes because of the false idea that no one could say the Father's name because it was too holy? Yet, the Bible constantly speaks about His name and that "His people will know Him by His name!" Do you think that the Father who has given us all that we have He will leave us short with anything?
Did you also know that His name was found among the other nations and Abraham was called out because He was known among the Chaldean's city name Ur (not the Ur in Mesopotamia)? When Abraham came into Canaan he found people already serving Yahweh. The Canaanites were the first chosen and most ancient people also put their deity in their name. This is another clue that is so positive about the correct name. Have you heard of the people call Shasu where there was found two topographical lists? Inscribed on an Egyptian temple walls the pronunciation "Yahweh," in Egyptian script! Job was not a Jew, neither was Balaaim who went wrong. He origianlly was a prophet of the most high. Just like the feast days, the calendar, the Sabbath were all known in the beginning correctly. But ancient people begin to apostazied and yet they still took certain things to prove that it all came from the Most High but mixed up with paganism. Did you know that in every language of the world the word Sabbath is named for the seventh day? You cannot escape from truth because if you seek it you will find it!
Donald B. Redford, "Egypt, Canaan, and Israel in Ancient Times"Yahweh was also discovered in ancient Semitic scripts of people who were not Hebrews (like Job). Dictionary of Deities and Demons in the Bible, s.v. "Yahweh," K. van der Toorn, Family Religion in Babylonia, Syria, and Israel, EJ Brill
I can give you a mountain of names of Archeologist, Biblical Historians, Egyptologist, and other known scholars who have found proof of the correct name in other ancient languages.
This also includes the name of Yashua but people in religion become blindsided and even sometime ridiculous in their thinking. The Bible said that both of their names are known:

Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. Psa 91:14

As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence! Isa 64:2

So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am Yahweh, the Holy One in Israel. Eze 39:7

And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. John 17:11

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy Elohim, I will also forget thy children. Hosea 4:6

I will say this to all you cannot understand the Bible unless you understand history!

Blessings,
stinsonmarri

Yes, I see what you are saying, but I have heard the same argument from other people as far as their pronunciations. And how do we know that there are only two syllables in the Tetragrammaton anyway? Also, I have read that there is a pagan god named Yahweh or Yah also.

I have also heard that there is no such Hebrew name as Yahshua-only Yehoshua like the Bible says. If we are trying to search for the truth, it does not matter at all what the modern day Hebrews in Israel call Him...we are searching for His real, original name, right? Right.

Like I said-I was really obsessed with learning YHWH's true name for many months...I lost sleep over it and cried and cried every time I would find yet another spelling of it.

Why does the Strong's Concordance have YHWH and when you click on that, it takes you to the phonetic spelling of Yehovah? Or Yehowa?

As far as the Feasts and Sabbath you mentioned....I have kept the Sabbath (Friday at sundown to Saturday at sundown) for the last 3 years. I also go to a Messianic Jewish Synagogue as well, and keep the Feasts as an observance. I have not celebrated Christmas, etc. in 3 years.

Languages change over the years, and centuries. Alphabets change. Pronunciations change. Modern Hebrew is much different than ancient Hebrew....we really can't be absolutely sure what the real pronunciation is.....yes, I believe totally that YHWH wants us to know His true name....but unless He speaks it to us personally, I don't see how anyone can be absolutely sure with how languages have changed over the centuries. :)

What are the stated rules for how an anniversary is to be celebrated? If I'm going to celebrate an anniversary, shouldn't I first consider how it is supposed to be celebrated?
Are you asking about rules? Pray tell what are rules BFA? Rules are laws you know? Where did I used stated rules concerning you or anyone else anniversary? So I will repeat what I said again hopefully more understandable. Two people plan a certain day for their wedding. The day comes and they have a wedding and the next year onward this day once a year becomes their anniversary. The first ritual or ceremony which means the same thing, they had a wedding. Each year after they plan some type of ritual, either a dinner, a trip, or maybe just staying at home together, but they always have something planned on their anniversary. Same thing with the Feasts of Yahweh these annual days had two type of rituals or services. The first were services of killing animals to represent the death of Yashua and the second represent your actual living sacrifice, specific events leading to the end of the salvation story. The Bible provides how these days are to be celebrated just like the couple who plans their weddings and then the next phase their ongoing anniversary simple. Oh' by the way they provide a program about their wedding and an invitation to come!

So we really don't need to keep the holy convocations as God commanded?
What part of this is so complicated for you. I explained clearly that you must observe these days as a couple would observe their anniversary which would be the second phase!

This sounds like a whole new idea, not the celebration of an old one.
Well you finally understood some of it and that this is the new covenant your life instead of the animal. You are real the animal was the symbol because they had to killed them for their sins. We stand for our sins ourselves but if we confess our sins that's when grace comes in. Yahweh's favor allows His Son to stand in our place for our sins but we cannot keep breaking the law by sinning.

Actually, I believe the sacrifices came before the days. When the days were added, new and special sacrifices were added as the way in which the days were to be celebrated.
Showed me in Scriptures because I showed they did not!

moed moadah
properly an appointment, that is, a fixed time or season; specifically a festival; Strong Dictionary

Moed is a Hebrew word that actually means a special appointment or fixed time or even more so the English feast day. The word season is not a very good word to explain moed at all! So when you get to the root of the word feast day surprise looks what comes up!

Feast:
A festival; a holiday; a solemn, or more commonly, a joyous, anniversary. [1913 Webster]

words for "feast": High Holiday, High Holy Day. Moby Thesaurus II by Grady Ward

Gen 1:14
Then Elohim said, "Let there be lights in the sky. These lights will separate the days from the nights. They will be used for signs to show when special meetings begin and to show the days and years. (ERV)

Then Elohim commanded, "Let lights appear in the sky to separate day from night and to show the time when days, years, and religious festivals begin; (GNB)

Then Elohim said, "Let there be lights in the sky to separate the day from the night. They will be signs and will mark religious festivals, days, and years. (GW)

And Elohim said, “Let lights come to be in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and appointed times, and for days and years, (The Scriptures 1998+)

Now you show me in any of the above Scriptures during creation week that sacrifices were done?
The Sabbath ended the weekly cycle and no laborious work was done by Elohim because He sanctified the day and made it holy where was any animal sacrifices at that time?

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day Elohim ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And Elohim blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which Elohim created and made. Gen 2:1-3

I'm not a fan of this suggestion. The OT has a wealth of good information. However, as you've acknowledged, this information does not necessarily apply to all people. Animal sacrifices, for example, do not.

If you did not have the OT you would not have known how you or anything was made. You also would not have known that Adam and Eve broke Yahweh's law first here on earth. You would not even known that it was three Supreme Beings who created the earth.

That is where you are wrong BFA it does apply to all people because it was symbolic of Yashua!
Finally, BFA here a text to show that even angels obey Yahweh commandment and there are no sacrifices in Heaven!

Bless YAHWEH, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Psa 103:20

Are you asking about rules? Pray tell what are rules BFA?
Well, in the case of holy convocations, rules included a God-given command that special animal sacrifices be offered as part of the celebration. A person who claims to honor the day without honoring the way God commanded it to be kept has merely demonstrated disobedience. You said it best when you wrote that "the Bible provides how these days are to be celebrated." If we're going to celebrate the days, we should follow the God-given guidelines. I'm completely comfortable with the idea that different folks find value in the observance of days. However, I've just never understood a claim to obedience that doesn't seem to line up with the God-given commands on how the day is to be kept. It just doesn't make sense to me.

What part of this is so complicated for you. I explained clearly that you must observe these days as a couple would observe their anniversary which would be the second phase!
Sounds like a whole new day that has nothing to do with the original celebration? Where did God command us to celebrate holy convocations in a whole new way? If these are new days, why claim that they are old days?

Well you finally understood some of it and that this is the new covenant your life instead of the animal.
Why would we conclude that the new covenant has anything to do with the celebration of old covenant convocations?

Showed me in Scriptures because I showed they did not!
Sacrifices started with Cain and Abel. The Day of Atonement began with the Children of Israel.

Now you show me in any of the above Scriptures during creation week that sacrifices were done?
Just as there is no evidence of sacrifices during creation week, there is no evidence that humans observed convocations during creation week.

The Sabbath ended the weekly cycle and no laborious work was done by Elohim because He sanctified the day and made it holy where was any animal sacrifices at that time?
What does this have to do with the celebration of holy convocations by humans?

If you did not have the OT you would not have known how you or anything was made.
As I noted in my last post, we agree on this point.

You also would not have known that Adam and Eve broke Yahweh's law first here on earth.
That would be an incredible feat, considering that the law was not added until 430 years after Abraham.

That is where you are wrong BFA it does apply to all people because it was symbolic of Yashua!
Jesus Christ fulfilled all shadows because He is the reality to which they point.

Bless YAHWEH, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Psa 103:20
Do angels have iniquities or diseases? Do they need to be redeemed from life in a pit? Do they sin? Are angels "man?" Are angels "children's children?" Are angels party to "His covenant?" Is it possible that you've missed David's poetry in this passage?

1Bless the LORD, O my soull

And all that is within me, bless His holy name.

2Bless the LORD, O my soul,

And forget none of His benefits;

3Who pardons all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases;
4Who redeems your life from the pit,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;
5Who satisfies your years with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.
6The LORD performs righteous deeds
And judgments for all who are oppressed.
7He made known His ways to Moses,
His acts to the sons of Israel.
8The LORD is compassionate and gracious,
Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness.
9He will not always strive with us,
Nor will He keep His anger forever.
10He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him.
12As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
13Just as a father has compassion on his children,
So the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him.
14For He Himself knows our frame;
He is mindful that we are but dust.
15As for man, his days are like grass;
As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
16When the wind has passed over it, it is no more,
And its place acknowledges it no longer.
17But the lovingkindness of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him,
And His righteousness to children's children,
18To those who keep His covenant
And remember His precepts to do them.
19The LORD has established His throne in the heavens,
And His sovereignty rules over all.
20Bless the LORD, you His angels,
Mighty in strength, who perform His word,
Obeying the voice of His word!
21Bless the LORD, all you His hosts,
You who serve Him, doing His will.
22Bless the LORD, all you works of His,
In all places of His dominion;
Bless the LORD, O my soul!

You are totally unreal to believe thatyou are not require to obey and to keep the Father's Commandments. Also as well to come up with unsound thinking that Yahweh gave laws to one particular people. You have no idea what sin is and how if you go against any establish government then you go against it's establish rules or laws. You think that you can live and do as you please so go ahead. You know exactly when sacrifice started in the Garden of Eden after Adam and Eve sinned. You know what commandments mean and the Scriptures you provided stated pardon. You can only receive a pardon if you done something wrong.
The Heavenly Father that I serve is a fair and just Father all will obey Him that will enter His Son's kingdom. Spiritual things are for those who desire to learn Yahweh's will. So I leave this with you:

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear Elohim, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Eccl 12:13

What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; Is he the Elohim of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: Seeing it is one Elohim, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. Do we then make void the law through faith? Elohim forbid: yea, we establish the law. Rom 3:9, 29-31

Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. Tit 1:14

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1Jn 2:3, 4

And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1Jn 3:22

By this we know that we love the children of Elohim, when we love Elohim, and keep his commandments For this is the love of Elohim, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 1Jn 5:2

And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. 2Jn 1:6

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of Elohim, and the faith of Yashua. Rev 14:12

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. Rev 22:14

Only people who are of mankind will realize their duty to keep the Heavenly Father's Commandments, they will realize that there is no different in people whether they are Jews or Greeks, they will understand spiritual justification of circumcision by faith, they will not make void Yahweh's law, they know that the commandments are not grievous, they will establish Yahweh's law, the will not take heed to the commandments of men, all of mankind heard about the law from the beginning, they will do those things that are pleasing in the Heavenly Father's sight by keeping His commandments, If they don't keep the Father's commandments they a liars pretending that they love Him, and the truth is not in them at all,the patience of the saints will be known by keeping the Father's commandments, blessed are they that do the Fathers commandments so that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city! I realize that if you cannot understand that we are to keep the Almighty's commandments you cannot understand the Feast Days. I have explained the important of obedience to you in the most simplest ways and it is not getting through so the Bibles says this:

When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul. Eze 3:18-21

That is what I have done so I am finish and will move on. I love you and pray for you that when you see the signs taken place that you remember what you have heard discuss here that you take heed and obey the Savior and His Father's commandments.

Be bless always,

all will obey Him that will enter His Son's kingdom.
Is salvation contingent on the grace and blood of Jesus Christ, or is it contingent upon human obedience?

You think that you can live and do as you please so go ahead.
I must admit that I grow tired of this accusation. This is not my belief. It is, in fact, the opposite of my belief. I simply do not define obedience as you do.

You are totally unreal to believe that you are not require to obey
I've never said that it is unimportant to obey, nor is that what I believe.

and to keep the Father's Commandments.
I would guess that we differ in our understanding of which commands are important for post-resurrection Gentiles and in our understanding of the role of the Spirit in the lives of justified persons.

Also as well to come up with unsound thinking that Yahweh gave laws to one particular people.
I'm not sure why this is unsound thinking. The book of Exodus confirms who the law was for (see Chapters 31 and 34 in particular). Further, Paul confirms in Galatians 3 that the law was added 430 years after Abraham and only until the Seed came.

You have no idea what sin is. You can only receive a pardon if you done something wrong.
The Spirit understands what sin is and He convicts with respect to sin and righteousness and judgment.

and how if you go against any establish government then you go against it's establish rules or laws.
Are you suggesting that all governments have the same laws?

You know exactly when sacrifice started in the Garden of Eden after Adam and Eve sinned.
I also believe that it was much later when men started observing convocations.

The Heavenly Father that I serve is a fair and just Father
I also know Him to be fair and just.

Spiritual things are for those who desire to learn Yahweh's will. I love you
This sounds like judgment, not love. Have I misunderstood?

Judging is condeming and that I have never done. I am not a Gentile which means Greek speaking people, I am an Afrikan American. There were only letters to the Greek people and not people of Ham or Shem. There were errors made with the word but just like everything else you will not check out to see if this is so. I told you that you feel that Elohim is a bigot and have one thing for one group people and something else for another group. Noah found grace, Enoch recieved grace, Rehab, Moses and I could go on but you refuse to see it. If you think that is judging you so be it because I am not. I have giving you in the Old and New Testament that the Father commands are the same. His law was from the beginning and not at Sinai. Plus you do not understand that Paul was explaining the differences between Hagar and Sarah and it is right there and easy to understand.
Creation process were laws and evolutionists want to believe a lie and I'm sorry so do you. I cannot make you believe something you not I choose not to believe. I showed that He never alters the things that goes out His mouth, I showed from the beginning about the feast days and the Sabbath. I took time and presented numerous of Scriptures to your one or two which were totally out of context. I am human just like you it is first up to you with a willing heart to seek the Father openly and allow the Holy Spirit to move. You refuse and want to believe your way without any Scriptures to back you up. You have said things I did not say, you have put SDA down over and over and I have reproved you but not judge you and there is a difference. So I am through because it is fruitless and nothing is gain so let's move on. Pray for me please as I pray for you with love.

Your humble servant praying that you be bless always,
