I had a conversation awhile ago w/ a co-worker about christianity and assurance of salvation - well, it didn't work out as i thought it would bc she just looked at me like i was crazy or something but, its what happened to me, so, i explained it as truthful as i could but, that explanation went in one ear and out the other.
Is there an easier/better way to explain assurance of salvation? For me, it was a feeling - a definite feeling, deep peace from God telling me of my assurance i was saved and i knew it and thats what i go by from now on. Thats the only thing I know of.
May I ask how God showed some of you or gave you the assurance of your salvation?
I believe everyone experiences it a different way, but, i just don't know how to explain it to someone who doesn't believe. The usual responses I get from people when they pray is: i don't feel anything, nothing has changed in my life or things in their life have gotten worse. (I can agree w/ them on many of those things, however, i had seen God work in my life a LOT in the past - more like the first 3-4 yrs I was saved n not so much anymore) but, to explain what to do or whatever to a non-christian, i'm just horrible at doing that and need some help in these areas.
