how do you deal with loneliness being single?

I think lonliness is something weall go through, even Jesus was lonely at times and experienced God forsaking Him. I have found that putting my all into serving God helps and also silly as it may seem Ive discovered a very real freindship in God, so much so that I look forward to my holidays coz I say LORD we going to have a good time together..and we do. The thing is you can be lonely and be surrounded by people and "friends" May be you you feel like I do and you need that one special earthly friend to be intermate open and honest with, as yet I have none.
But Jesus really helps "What a friend we have in Jesus"

Lonelyness is a tuff one. I go out and see people together having a good time. Then I see myself alone. A lot of people suggested reading a Bible studying it, this is very good. I think if find a church with a devorce recover class is a step. Another step is finding a Church with an active, friendly single's class is another. If you have the time perhaps helping someone. English as second language, Gleaner food bank anything to get your mind of yourself. Perhaps you can go learn something New alot of coummnity Colleges offer adult ed, I learn how to fence at one. Many will show you how to play instruments, some have art classes. It's all worth a try.

Very Prayerfully - that's how you get through being single

Two books that singles have to read, one is pretty much for a woman. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them, they have changed my outlook on singleness totally. They are really awesome.

"What's A Girl To Do; While Waiting For Mr.Right" Janet Folgers - this book is an easy read -very encouraging - it's a single girl power book

"I Kissed Dating Goodbye" - this is a renewing your mind book - it's going to take some more time, but it is pretty deep, analytical about our relationships and why and that's why it is a renewing your mind

I am divorced because my husband cheated on me. I find it very hard to deal with the loneliness of being single and celibate. I want to obey God's word in everything that I do. So I am praying for my true soulmate, but how do you deal with being lonely?
