  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi everyone. I have some things that I am wanting to take the glue from stickers off of them. How do I do this? Sorry if I posted in the wrong forum. I honestly didn't know where to post this at.

Try soaking it and scraping it off.:) good luck
Is there anything in particular I should soak it in? I tried dabbing rubbing alcohol on it but that didn't seem to help. Anyway, the thing I am trying to get the sticky stuff off of is a couple of lighters so I don't know if soaking them would be a good idea or not. I don't want to ruin my lighters.

Polish remover works... I use lighter fluid myself.
Yes, lighter fluid...my ex used lighter fluid on a Q-tip to take all the sticky stuff from price tags off his Star Wars toys. It worked pretty well and didn't do much damage since he prized that collection more than anything else on earth. But do be careful with the flammable things.
