I can't remember as I was brought up a cradle catholic. But those of you who are late converts or late Christians, did the Christian message make sense to you immediately?
The message being: Our Father, God, creator sent His Son to Earth over 2000 years to die for our sins. He wanted us to know that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life
I didn't really try to understand this message until recently. It is an amazing story really.
That the creator of all life would send His only Son to die an awful death in the name of Truth.
In my secular moments, I feel disbelief. Unbelievable. The dying for our sins part is especially puzzling. Why not just tell us plainly what we need to do in order to wake up? Avoid the metaphor and miracles.
There surely would've been a more straightforward way to do it, is all I'm saying.
