Well, I suggest before you even ask people for the answer, you should first learn what evolutionary theory states. Populations evolve, individuals don't. Understand this concept and the rest follows.

Why? Because there is nothing to find . The 100 missing "transitional" copies never existed . The photo copier just kept churning out copies of the originals and it is only copies of the originals that keep turning up at the landfill.

Thats improbable unless you have the Holy copier of perfection and the holy ink of the holy copier of perfection, because slight variations in the ink would make every copy different though tiny the change may be.

What you are suggesting is that the species that lived millions of years ago are the only ones doing the reproduction. I think several people told you that organisms don't live forever. What is your excuse for this kind of reasoning now?

If you want to give an example with the copy machine, you have to put an original and then you get copy_1...

since organisms don't live forever , the original copy would now be discarded.
copy_1 will be put in the copy machine and copy_2 will come out...
copy_2 will be put in the copy machine and copy_3 will come out...
keep repeating this process and there will be a difference between the copies.

You need to look at it from the perspective of the gene pool. It's the gene pool which is made up of individuals. Over time, the gene pool will undergo variation. This is evolution.

It's counterintuative at first, but you need to think about the population and the effect on the overall gene pool as individuals in the population reproduce.
