But something doesn't feel right. I still feel evil in my heart, like God has left me.

God hasn't left you. Its physically and spiritually impossible. I'm going through my own spiritual battle. I invited dark things into my life, and now i'm suffering for it. But God reached out to me, showed me that what I was doing was not okay, and that the end of that path would lead me to hell.

Plus, from what I understand, the nature of god is not some being that lives outside of space, but he's the very meaning of what it is TO BE. Do you still exist? Are you moving, breathing, living? Then god has not left you.

There's a famous literary line, can't say for sure where it comes from. Goes something like this:
"The line between good and evil runs down the center of the human heart."

We all have the capacity for evil. We all have the capacity to lose control. It happens. We're sinful creatures.

Maybe reach out to a catholic priest in your area, and they may refer you to an exorcist that works with the church, get their opinion. There is a lot of information on the internet, but the priests say that a lot of that is exaggerated and unreliable. And a lot of the time, mental health is the real issue that needs to be addressed. What you might need is to learn what triggers those episodes of lack of self control. Pray to Jesus, ask him to help you spot them. It might take a while before you realize what's being pointed out to you, or it might be immediate. Have patience with yourself, and trust God to know what's best for you. Slow change is the best change. It lasts.

I have a question, how do you follow the scriptures? Do you question WHY what you're doing is a sin? Understanding the weight of your decisions might help you learn to better regulate your actions. Who do you hang around with? Do you spend a lot of time with the community that gathers at the church?

God hasn't left you. He wouldn't. He couldn't. He loves you WAY too much.

I wrote down a line that stood out to me while reading the New Testament:
"Be joyful in hope and patient in affliction" - Romans 12:12
Have patience in this affliction. Believe that with God's help you can overcome this. We are powerless on our own.

And remember, whenever you need the encouragement:

"...Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me." - 2 Corinthians 12:7

Even Paul would acknowledge the sinful nature of the flesh, and God gave him a reminder. This is a warning and is also good news.

"No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful, he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide an escape so that you can endure it." - 1 Corinthians 10:13

Paul's escape was the thorn, the reminder that his Gift was from God, for God's glory, not his own. But I think that perhaps the lesson can be applied here as well.

One more thing. If this guy can do it, so can you.

I meet regularly with believers in Scripture study groups and social gatherings. They are the only people I spend time with (making friends is very difficult for me). That being said, I follow whatever devotional we have as a group, as well as my own personal Scripture study. Praying through verses also helps me to guide my prayers, and "write them on my heart".

As for why sin is wrong, I know that it draws me away from God and ultimately leads to Hell. But that just makes me feel worse knowing that my sin has had such a monumental impact on my relationship with God. The more I think about it, the worse I seem to feel. It makes me not want to leave my home some days in fear that I might sin again.

So you're discouraged, because you understand that your actions are important...isn't that a good thing?
Find me a saint who didn't have to struggle with this very issue. Find me a saint that didn't have to dedicate a lifetime of intense discipline, asceticism, and contemplation, in order to overcome their sinful nature.

I don't know what denomination you are, but there are some things that cut through right down to human nature. Maybe this will help:
Understanding the 'Dark Night of the Soul'

We all go through darkness. Even the best of us sinners will struggle.

Is there any way to know for sure if I am demon-possessed?

My sinful past is one indication that I was not truly saved the first time around, and I've had to become saved again many times since then. I understand repentance, yet I still struggle to stop sinning. Sometimes it gets to the point that I feel as if I'm out of control of my own body. And the immense shame afterward is enough to know that I believe it's not right.
The vast majority of people are troubled by demons. You need to find someone who knows their authority in Christ. I know of two groups in the USA that could help you. No doubt there are others. Robert Morris, formerly of Gateway and Derek Prince ministries will help you.

You also need to know that God has given you power over sin. When you received Christ, God included you in His death. You died too. The old nature that you received from Adam is finished. That's what water baptism is about. When someone dies, you bury them. God also includes you in the resurrection of Christ, so that you really are a new creation. Lord Jesus lives in you to be all that you know you should be but know that you cannot be. Ask God to show you this truth. It will transform you if you can accept it.

FWIW, modern Christianity has based a person's worth (in spite of all cries to the contrary) on the performance of the Christian, and worse, the whole walk of the person in relation to that. By this I am referring to the fact that this life is not about the person, but about Christ. About God himself. God is USING YOU for his own purposes --using you FOR HIS OWN SAKE. It may not be fun, but it is amazing, that he puts up with sin long enough to accomplish whatever he has in mind for you, making you what he will for your place in heaven. What lays heavy on your heart and conscience may be grievous, but that is not the whole of what God is doing in you. Becoming one with him is more than step by step success in obedience --it is also, among other things, recognizing (and frankly, as a byproduct, enjoying) his use of you.

I don't mean to diminish the awfulness of sin, and the rebellious attempted independence of the sinner and the consequences of sin --particularly continual sin. "He who sins (continual sin, or habit of sin) is a slave to sin." So yes, keep fighting, and grieving, and begging God for wisdom and mercy. Understand too, that "without [him] you can do nothing." Take his yoke upon you and learn of him. READ SCRIPTURE. Make the Word of God your life. And thank God for using you in whatever way he chooses.

Again, this life is not about YOU. It is about CHRIST.

By all indications, demon possession is very rare. It is possible that you are being tempted or oppressed by a demon, though even that is unlikely. However, actual possession does appear to be a most unusual event, even if a remote possibility.

If in doubt, I recommend much prayer and repeating the 23rd Psalm and doing acts of mercy and kindness to help others.

But something doesn't feel right. I still feel evil in my heart, like God has left me.

You are probably going through a dry season. I felt like this as well, a short while ago. I felt abandoned, evil, like an animal in the wilderness. Quite literally “weeping and gnashing” my teeth, because I felt like I was going insane and I was so angry at God.

After repentance, and constant prayers for mercy, God has finally provided me relief. But I have to stay in communion with God and not stray. I have to keep focused on God, not on myself, and remain vigilant of spiritual attacks, because they are quite rampant.

Try to sit alone in the quiet, and repeat, “Lord, Jesus Christ, have mercy on me”. It helps. Ask God for a desire for Him, for a desire for the word; ask Him to be your love, faith, and obedience. Ask Him to live His life through you.

Listen to some stuff like this:

I kid you not, when you find yourself in the quiet in the middle of the night, and you turn on something like that, it will bring you peace if you allow it. Release all the baggage, and keep your eyes on Christ. I have no doubt that if you continue to seek Him, He will bless you with relief, and breakthrough.

I can help you out. It very well maybe but can you recall a time when your body chemistry felt like it changed aswell? I suffered from demonic possession not to long ago I had it inside of me for two years and it caused me intense unecessary anxiety before I got it removed, I also was attacked by demons because I used to be in the occult at one time. You don't necessarily need a deliverance minister to get a demon taken out of you unless it's a full body possession, however if you have one near you by all means call them up. I did not have a deliverance minister when I got delivered. You probably are suffering from stage 2 demon possession where you have control over your bodly still. A clear indicator of demonic possession is feelings/symptoms of being high even if you have not taken drugs.

You bring demons into your life by the things you do in your life. Please take a look at (Exodus 20) for the ten commandments. And then read (1 Corinthians 6:9), (Galatians 5 16:26), and (Deuteronomy 18: 10-14).

Don't worry about the check marks those are things I've done. Check here to see if you have participated in any of these. And you must try to think back to even when you were a kid and repent of them if you have not done so yet.

You have authority in Jesus name to cast it out if you are a firm believer and have been saved already. But first you have to remove it's legal rights it has before you can get rid of them. When you sin and do certain things it gives them legal rights to stay in your life. Also this is going to sound harsh but you must rid your home of demonic objects such as dream catchers, if you own stuff with demonic symbols even if it's just for looks they have to go as well, or divination/occultic objects of any kind. They provide legal rights for demons to be in your home aswell. It must be objects that belong to YOU. your not responsible for getting rid of stuff that doesn't belong to you, however it would help.

Checkout fasting aswell:

Also a 1 day fast 24hours no food just water is more than sufficient for results and lots of prayers.

I tried to message you so I could work with you but you have everything shut off and set to private.

Thank you for all of that info.

The only thing I have done on that list is Yoga. I did it for many years, but stopped once I found out about it's origins. There are others things too such as a promiscuous past, which I struggle with daily to prevent falling back into. I've heard that sexual immorality can damage your soul.

And I don't own any occult objects or anything with such symbolism.

I will message you.

Demon possession in scripture is mostly physical sickness. Where is it sin? The stout believer, a daughter of Abraham had a demon and was hunched over for 18 years.

One was epileptic. another mentally ill with 6000 demons. I would stay away from "deliverance ministries". They assume much scripture never mentions.

We are the problem and need to walk in the Spirit instead of the flesh.

No your not demon possessed. Just stuck in guilt which has been charged under the under law.

The new law is that Christ paid for your sins through his blood & that is what reconciles you with the Lord. Not by your own doing or whether you sin or not but by his doing.

The blood of Christ is the ultimate weapon to speak back to the accuser with which will stop charging you with sin and baptism is the other part. He will flee if you remind him of it.

Break out the bible & start reading Romans or anything on the blood and the new law. You’re just being charged and accused that’s all. We are free from condemnation in Christ. Which comes by understanding the blood and baptism.

Hope it gets better but just sounds like the devil is accusing you of all your sins. Which is old law. He’s like a really smart lawyer of accusations. But Christ did what he did to break you free from it and being charged so he paid the price for sin through his blood.

Everyone sins, we all do. It’s not about us but what Christ has done and he paid the penalty for sin.

The Lord did this so he could have a relationship with you. Need to read New Testament parts and study it. Takes time.

At least you are still able to repent and feel shame...I can do things that may not be pleasing to God for as long as I deem it sound and a reasonable choice.

For example, when I seek revenge in my own way becauae God did not do much, and it does not satisfy my sense of justice. So I use the reason that it is the will of God, that He handed this responsibility to my hand and that I had to implement it personally.

Or when I choose whether to eat or skip dinner, I notice that I can't afford to spend more, so I use the excuse that it must be God's will and skip on it to save money.

When I feel bored, have a stressful day, and have nothing to do, I do not hesitate to seek things that pleases me because I thought that it is the only thing I can do in the current situation. My resources and my personality, does not allow me to do more productive tasks, so I do that which pleases me.

When I get harmed and my survival is threatened, I do not see it unreasonable to ask for their death to God, I even provide Him with reasons and evidence as for why this person must disappear and how much it will benefit me an those that are oppressed by this person.

One time, I asked God to separate me from this particular person who wronged me, I know myself and that person. I asked this in consideration of that. I predicted the results in my mind if God did not do as I asked, and I told him that it will not be beneficial, whether physically or spiritually. God could have done so, very easily, but no.

The situation developed as I have predicted, it had gotten worse and now I have to scheme everyday, trying all kinds of psychological means to keep the person depressed and feel oppressed. He deserved it, and since God allowed us to interact daily and did not do what I asked despite my plea, I figured that it might be His will so, I have no more hesitation.

There's much more situation in my everyday life...

So every sin I do, even if I know they are wrong, I will still commit them even if given a second chance, unless there's a better choice. "Because I'm doing it to survive and live better, and there's nothing wrong wrong with that", is my thought process.

I don't really know how to repent anymore, since no one can prove me that my decisions are wrong. I feel no shame or anything.

God have instructions, I know, but I'm just a human and I have my own personal needs. I have reasons for every wrong. I will only repent when I judged that what I did is unreasonable or an accident.

Have you felt like that as well?

I won't go into detail, but I do have mental illness. It is severe, no treatment has helped. Therefore, I know that it must be spiritual.

I think everyone is "touched" to a certain degree. But what I do is censor my thoughts and imaginations just as you would a TV show. And change the channel on all that goes against Christ's teaching. It results in happiness and love involving others. Even enemies.

“(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” 2 Corinthians 10:4–5 (KJV 1900)

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8 (KJV 1900)

The fact that you are asking the question means that you already know that you are possessed.

1 John 3:9-10 says "No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister."

Do not battle with the demons alone. Find someone or people that can help to free you
May the God almighty hear your prayers and free you from bondage
AMEN

Ramp up reading the Bible. Have some Scriptures that you can think about often such as the following and personalize them - God loves me, etc).
- God loves you with an everlasting love (John 3:16-17, Jer 31)
- God promises to never leave you nor forsake you (Deu 31:6)
- The spirit of God made you, and the breath of the Almighty gives you life. Job 33:4
- you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psa 139:13-14)
-The Lord says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jer 29:11

- God is great, majestic, gracious, full of compassion, good to me, +++++ Psa 145

Ok you might want to be baptised by a powerful priest or minister with very strong faith and be baptised in the name of YHWH ( Yah way)and in the name of Yeshua, the living Christ of the world. This instance is the only time you should ever utter their true names. What kind of sinning are you still drawn to? You obviously feel bad about it so your conscience is in check. Maybe what you are battling is addiction and you are confusing it with sin. Addiction is a disease that takes more than strong will power to conquer. However you might be because I promise you as I wrote this to you I was outside and I heard a deep growl of like a large animal but there was nothing around me. I still went inside! Whats up with that? Go to a Catholic church and have a priest start praying for you in Latin and if you are possessed it should show itself. God bless you!

You're not going to get saved over and over again, just as after you get saved will you stop sinning. Many saved people fail to understand how to allow God to work within them so that the Holy Spirit takes away one's old desires.

After I was baptized, I felt that I needed to stop sin in my life by obeying the 10 Commandments but as I tried to do so anxiety took control of me and things became worse. I prayed and prayed for understanding but the harder I tried it became worse.

Finally, one day, I heard God speak and say, "I didn't ask you to become perfect, Jesus has already done that for you." I then received a vision of the bloody cross and I understood.

I embraced the cross.

I then cast my sins upon the cross and picked it up and carry it with me. I stopped trying to stop my sins and focused on my relationship with God the Father. As my relationship grew stronger, the desires that I once had began to fade away. God's love was cleansing me. As you grow in love the things that you once desired becomes repugnant.

God is our Father and we need to treat him as one. God wants to hear from his children so pray constantly. Tell him everything and you may be surprised what all he will help you with.

God Bless,

Forgive me but.. didn't post something like this before? :) In any case.. if you know Jesus Christ as lord. Believed John 3:16-17 Rom 10:9-10 repented of your sins.. He is in you. And the lord does not share. One can be oppressed by the enemy. Meaning.. like latches on to you.

All the enemy is doing is lying to you. When your scared.. you say the JOY of the lord is my strength. God has not given me the spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mine.

And He made it very clear who ever calls on the name of the lord SHALL BE DELIVERED. "that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered" DELIVERED In Jesus name. That means EVERY spirit that is not of God has to go.. in JESUS name
