How are people actually saved?

HOW ARE PEOPLE ACTUALLY SAVED?

I can tell you that you are not saved by the words that I have been hearing on this thread.

There is so much ego. There is so much putting down of another.

You ask how you can be saved ?

By believing in Christ, humbling yourself, and praying that God grant you mercy and grace.

You all think that Reformationist is so far off track? Then tell me... Where did your faith come from if not from God?

I have spoken with many good people on this forum who are atheist. Many of them with kinder and gentler hearts then some of my Christian brothers and sisters. But they lack Faith. I pray to God for them that he might speak to their hearts so that they too can know him.

The fact is we are blessed.

I am forever grateful that God has given me the seed of faith. I will continue to nurture and cherish it forever. For it is with LOVE that Faith grows.

I guess it is OK that I express my opinion... I am not yet Catholic.

Please note that I have not read the posts on this thread so I am not commenting on the specifics or attacking any particular poster.

But Catholic-bashing is not allowed on the forum regardless of where it is -- you are not allowed to make a "non-Catholics only" post which trashes Catholics.

Like I said, I have no idea if there was actually Catholic bashing in this thread, but according to the rules of the forum, putting up a "non-Catholics only" sign is not a license to bash.

I don't agree. You've asked for only non-Catholic opinions on the subject - but that doesn't mean it's okay for all of us to sit around talking about how bad the Catholics are. That's *never* okay.

What Seebs posted is correct.  The staff can allow one to post certain threads dedicated to a ceratin groups of people. Sometimes.  For example this one was for protestants.  But in no way should in any post another group be bashed.  This includes the RCC and protestants alike.  I have seen both being bashed in seperate threads in different forums in here.  It is okay to say that you do not agree with what CAtholics believe but one cannot bash them. 

One can't go around looking for fights though either.  Remember that posts often seem harsher than the author's intention and to give the author the benefit of the doubt.  That is all I have to say. The moderators of this forum will deal with it further.  I have my own forums to handle and they seem to be going crazy right now. 

Okay now I am going to bed because I am very tired.
