  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You make a good point; as C.S. Lewis said: there are only two types of people on earth; those who believe in God and those who don't.
Those who truly do and who call upon His name, Acts of the Apostles 2:21, when disaster strikes, will be saved. Whether that is removal or protection can be argued. Protection is what is prophesied, the example is in Daniel 3:19-27.
Those who refuse to acknowledge the Creator, can expect Divine retribution, Romans 1:18 and a judgement of fierce fire, Hebrews 10:27

It actually will be both.

For the church, the tribulation will come in the beginning of the 7 years resembling the days of Noah. Some will be here, some will not, but all will know it comes just like the flood in Noah's days. They all were eating, drinking and marrying and knew not their tribulation came upon them till they saw the flood.

Currently, no one knows the day and hour the tribulation will come, but when it starts, everyone will know the trigger to the tribulation when it happens....Poof!

For Israel, their day of tribulation will begin like the days of Lot. Just like fire and brimstone when it hit the city of Sodom, the abomination of desolation will hit Jerusalem and begin the time of Jacob's Trouble. Some will escape, some will not.

God provides numerous examples of both being removed and being kept through judgments.
So, as not a matter of when, but of who,...
Why not both?

Please educate me on what you mean, assume I am totally ignorant as far as idealist views are concerned, that is, I want to learn and understand what it holds to. Thank you kindly.

Both options are used throughout scripture, and so is the matter of who will be taken, who will be left behind.
MT 24 & 25 are directed toward the Hebrews, leaving Gentile believers to be raptured before the latter events come to pass.

The OT specifies that God will mark his own before the judgment.
Both those that are blessed to be removed, and those kept before total annihilation can happen.

More to follow.

Interesting.
How are the blessed removed and where to?

The blessed during the time of the fall of Jerusalem were those that did not apostatize, these were sent by way of the first deportations.
Those that rebelled, the few survivors that remained were taken by force.

The Bible indicates that there will be both a Gentile and a Hebrew rapture.
The Gentiles will be first, followed by the Hebrews that eventually are sent to Mt Zion as the 144,000.
The Gentile from the neighboring countries that invade will have their countries destroyed.
The Hebrews will once again rebel, with what has become the norm, they will one last time face destruction only to be saved by God in the last day.

What do you mean by rapture, where are the Gentiles raptured to?

You said the Hebrews will be raptured last and sent to Mt Zion. Please educate what comes first mount Zion or the rapture for the Hebrews? I am a bit confused from your last posting.

Also how will the Hebrews be saved as compared to the gentile who are saved I presume through the rapture?

Gentiles are raptured to heaven, that means that they are spared.
Hebrews are mentioned as being marked by God before getting spared.
All that is known is that the next you see of them is that they are now at Mt Zion.

Salvation is either or as far as being part of a process of judgment.
The just will always be taken care of.

I see. So will there be a remnant of the gentiles with the Hebrews on Mount Zion, fighting until the brightness of the Lord's coming mentioned in Joel 2:1-12 or will it only be Hebrews?

What of the Hebrews who are already Christians? Where do they fall in all of this?
Do they go with the Gentiles at this point?

So I can disregard this scripture?:

Galatians 3:28
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

It talks about the present, then, its about a future scenario described is that of both groups having a rapture.

Since you're claiming two or more raptures, i'm curious to see what scriptures you claim refer to which rapture.

OK... Explain why when Herod Agrippa arrested James ... he was martyred. About the same time Peter was also arrested by Herod and was miraculously set free.
